EAVES-TROUGH HANGER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 384,985, dated June 26, 1888.

To all whom it may concern:
Beitknown thatwe, HOWARD T. LAWRENCE- have invented a new and useful Eaves-Trough Hanger; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, in Which Figure I is a perspective of the hanger in readiness to be adjusted to the eaves-trough. Fig. II is also a view in perspective of said hanger adjusted to a section of eaves-trough.
The hanger is to be made in sizes to fit all eaves troughs in common use, of galvanized hoop-iron.
Referring. to the drawings, Figs. I and II, astrip of iron, A, with a lock turned on each end, is formed to fit and fastened around the trough by a loop, B, which makes a complete lock. The brace D is used to strengthen and keep the trough in place. E,'which is fastened to A and B at F by a rivet, passes up to and 2 over the eaves in an obtuse angle.
We are aware that. eaves-trough hangers have been made to fasten around the trough, but we are not aware that'the same combination of hanger with the loop-fastening and 0 brace has ever been used.
What we claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United. States, is-
The herein-described eaves-trough hanger, 5 consisting of the strip A, bent to the form of a trough, with its ends united by a loop, 13, as described, the movable brace D, and a sus pender, as and for the purpose set forth.
