Abstract

A hollow container has a flat bottom surface and a top opening. The container is large enough to accommodate at least one foot. A bellows has a main portion intermediate a bottom plate and a top plate. The bottom plate is disposed horizontally along the bottom of the container. The top plate is pivotally secured at one end to one end of the bottom plate and is biased inclinedly upward. The container is partially filled with water to a position intermediate both ends of the top plate. The top plate has openings communicating with the interior of the bellows, some of the openings being above the water line, other openings being below the water line.

Primary ExaminerLawrence W. Trapp [57] ABSTRACT A hollow container has a flat bottom surface and a top opening.
4 Claims, 2 Drawing Figures 1 FOOT COMFORT PRODUCING'APPARATUS SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION My invention is directed toward apparatus, which I call Foot Ease, which can be operated by foot pressure to enable the user to obtain enhanced foot comfort.
To this end, I employ a hollow container having a flat bottom surface and a top opening. The container is large enough to accommodate at least one and preferably two feet.
A bellows disposed in the container has a flat horizontal bottom plate resting on the bottom surface; a flat top plate pivotally secured at one end to one end of the bottom plate; and a main bellows portion disposed between the two plates and biasing the top plate inclinedly upwards when foot pressure on the top plate is absent. When foot pressure is exerted downward on the plate, the top plate is momentarily placed in horizontal position.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS In the drawings: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of my invention; and FIG. 2 is a side cross section thereof.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Referring now to FIGS. 1 and 2, a hollow container has a flat bottom surface 12 and a top opening 14.
A bellows has a main portion 16 disposed between a horizontal flat plate 18 resting upon surface 12 and an end to the bottom plate asshown at 22. Portion 16 normally biases plate 20 into the inclined position, plate 20 being disposed momentarily horizontally when foot pressure is applied downwardly.
Plate 29 is perforated as shown at 24. All of the perforations communicate with the interior of portion 16.
The container is partially filled with water 26 to a point or position intermediate the ends of plate 20.
The invention can then be used to pour water (typically warm water) over the feet by producing sprays of water ejected through at least some of the perforations when the bellows is pumped.
While I have described my invention with particular reference to the drawings, such is notto be considered as limiting its actual scope. Having thus described this invention, what is asserted as new is:
I claim: v
1. Apparatus for enabling an individual to attain en- 'hanced foot comfort comprising:
a hollow container having a'flat bottom surface and a top opening, said container being large enough to accommodate at least one foot of the user; and
a bellows having a bottom plate resting on the bottom surface, and a top plate pivotally secured at one end to the bottom plate, the main portion of the bellows normally biasing said top plate inclinedly upward from said one end, said top plate being momentarily placed in horizontal position as long as pressure of the foot is exerted downward thereon.
2. Apparatus of claim 1 wherein said container is partially filled with water to a position intermediate the two opposite ends of the top plate.
3. Apparatus of claim 2 wherein said top plate has openings communicating with the interior of the main portion, some of said openings being above the water line, others of said openings being below the water line whereby when the bellows is pumped by the foot water is sprayed over the feet.
4. Apparatus of claim 3 wherein said container accommodates both feet.

Claims (4)

1. Apparatus for enabling an individual to attain enhanced foot comfort comprising: A HOLLOW CONTAINER HAVING A FLAT BOTTOM SURFACE AND A TOP OPENING, SAID CONTAINER BEING LARGE ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE AT LEAST ONE FOOT OF THE USER; AND A BELLOWS HAVING A BOTTOM PLATE RESTING ON THE BOTTOM SURFACE, AND A TOP PLATE PIVOTALLY SECURED AT ONE END TO THE BOTTOM PLATE, THE MAIN PORTION OF THE BELLOWS NORMALLY BIASING SAID TOP PLATE INCLINEDLY UPWARD FROM SAID ONE END, SAID TOP PLATE BEING MOMENTARILY PLACED IN HORIZONTAL POSITION AS LONG AS PRESSURE OF THE FOOT IS EXERTED DOWNWARD THEREON.
