- a Master PHT-l ameless heat torch (purchased from Master Applicance Corporation, Racine, Wis. 53403) was employed to provide the heat. It had a nozzle shaped similarly to that shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, with an opening 1s-inch in diameter. The opening in the nozzle was positioned 12)s-inch above the top of the can.
- At an air exit temperature of 980 F., and an air pressure of 2 p.s.i., 0.24 second residence time under the nozzle was suicient to effect the desired heat shrink operation.
