SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 374,625, dated December 13, 1887.
Application filed May 14, 1887. Serial No. 238,230. [No model.)
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that-we, BENJAMIN S. PORTER and CLARENCE W. PORTER, citizens of the United States, and residents at Red Oak, in the county of Montgomery and State of Iowa', have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Road-Carts; and we dov declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will ena- Io ble others skilled in the art to which it appertainsto make and use the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters or iigures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figure 1 of the drawings is a bottom view of our invention. Fig. 2 is a vertical longitudinal section, and Fig. 3 is a detail View.
This invention has relation to two-wheel vehiclesyand it consistsin the construction and 2o novel combination of parts, as hereinafter set 33 the main torsional portion F, the front securing-offset,G, extending inward and fastened to the shaft-frame, and the rear arm, H, also extending inward.

2. The combination, with the shafts and seat -frame having downward extensions or arms, of the chord-brace torsion-springs EE, connected by clip-bearings to the axle, secured by front offsets to the shaft-frarne, and having inwardlyextending arms connected to the downward extensions of the seat, substantially as specified.
