- a low-foaming, automatic dishwashing detergent characterized by low foaming in the presence of proteinaceous matter consisting essentially of (I) about to 99.9- weight percent liquid of a composition containing (A) 5 to 100 percent of an alkaline detergent salt selected from the group consisting of sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, modified soda, disodium orthophosphate, trisodium orthophosphate, sodium metasilicate, sodium sesquisilicate, waterglass, borax, sodium borate, and mixtures thereof, and
- composition of claim 4 wherein said alkyl phosphate ester is stearyl acid phosphate.
