Abstract

A drilling support for a rock perforator, of the type comprising: a jib on a boring support carrier; a drilling carriage pivotally arranged above the jib; a rock-perforator power-tool slidably arranged on the drilling carriage; a first power drive connected to the boring support carrier for lifting and lowering the drilling carriage and an additional power drive pivotally connected with the drilling carriage for positioning the drilling carriage. The provision of the additional power drive enables a simple non-telescopic construction to be adapted for the jib, at the same time providing the required maneuverability of the drilling carriage.

The provision of the additional power drive enables a simple non-telescopic construc tion to be adapted for the jib, at the same time providing the required maneuverability of the drilling carriage.
8 Claims, 2 Drawing Figures 1 DRILLING SUPPORT FOR A ROCK PERFORATOR BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The instant invention concerns a drilling support which is equipped with a drilling carriage, wherein said drilling carriage is guided by means of a jib which is arranged on a boring support carrier, and wherein the drilling carriage may be moved upwards and downwards by means of a drive. A rock perforator is movably arranged on the drilling carriage and equipped with a power-feed. A power drive is pivotally arranged in the central region of the jib and pivotedly connected directly with the boring support carrier; and a device is proposed for the positioning of the drilling carriage.
DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART A drilling support is known in prior art, having a drilling carriage movably arranged on a boring support carrier by means ofajib, and wherein a rock perforator with a power feed is slidably arranged on the drilling carriage. In this device, a power drive is pivotally arranged in a central region of the'jib and is pivotedly connected with the boring support carrier; and a device for positioning the drilling carrier is proposed, which, however, has the disadvantage that it is complicated in construction since its jib is arranged telescopically to effect the parallel operation of the drilling carriage.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT A drilling carriage 11 is pivotally mounted above a jib 3 on the boring support carrier 2 which is tiltable It is an object of the instant invention to avoid the above-mentioned disadvantage and to provide a drilling support which is comparatively simple in its construction and with a carriage which, firstly, maybe lowered to the ground, secondly, is parallely movable within desired limits, and, thirdly, is tiltable in the horizontal position. In the instant invention, this is obtained in a drilling support of the type mentioned at the beginning, improvized in that the device for positioning the drilling carriage consists of a second power drive which is pivotally arranged in the central region of the jib and pivotedly connected directly with the drilling carriage. The second power drive is arranged on the same side of the jib as the first power drive which is connected with the boring support carrier and serves for lifting and lowering of the drilling carriage; further, said second power drive is preferably arrangedon that side of the jib which faces the cutter head. A parallel operation of the drilling carriage is achieved when for both power drives the criteria for determining the perpendicular distance of each power drive from the neighboring point of rotation of the jib or the drilling carriage, as the case may be, are similar. The drilling support arranged in such a way enables a parallel movement of the drilling carriage within desired limits without the need for a telescopic construction of the jib. Further detailed characteristics of the inventive drilling support may be seen from the description of an embodiment set forth hereinbelow, which is schematically illustrated in the drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS towards the drilling carriage 11 by a parallel axle 1. Two power drives 5 and 8 are pivotally arranged on that side of the jib 3 which faces the cutter head 27 of the drilling carriage. The two. power drives are provided with hydraulic pistons 7 and 10 in cylinders 6 and 9 respectively. Furthermore, the power drive 5, which serves for the lifting and lowering of the drilling car riage 11, is pivotedly connected direct with the drilling support carrier 2, while the power drive 8 is flexibly connected directly with the drilling carriage II. The jib 3 has two side arms 3, 3" which are angularly inclined towards each other; the jib otherwise approximates a straight line (represented by broken line) which extends through points 2' and 11' in which points is pivotted the one power drive 5 on the boring support carrier 2 and the other power drive 8 on the drilling carriage 11. The jib 3 is reinforced in its central region, on the side which faces away from power drives 5 and 8, by a rib 4 or a similar member. The expansion spaces 6' and 9' in the two cylinders 6 and 9 are connected directly by conduit 12, the two remaining cylindrical contraction spaces 6" and 9" are connected to the servo valve 15 by means of conduits l3 and 14 respectively; the servo valve 15 is providedwith a hydraulic supply pipe 16 as well as an'outlet 17 for hydraulic fluid (oil). (Instead of the expansion spaces of the two cylinders, their contraction spaces may also be connected to each other.) The two compartments 9' and 9" of the valve 20. A commonly known dual back- pressure valve 23 or 24 is mounted into two conduits l3, 14 or l8, 19 as shown and interposed between cylinders 6, 9 and servo valves 15, 20 respectively. The areas of pistons 7 and 10 are arranged to be inversely proportional to the perpendicular distances a and a 2 of the power drives 5 and 8 from the respective centers of motion ofjib 3 and the drilling carriage 11. Due to this fact, the drilling carriage ll is moved parallelly' by activation of the servo valve 15 and is thereby, according to the position of the servo valve 15, either lifted or lowered. In contrast to this, the second servo valve 20 enables the swinging of drilling carriage 11 other than in the horizontal direction. By means of the above-mentioned twodual back- pressure valves 23 and 24, any possibili-- ty of the hydraulic fluid flowing from the chambers'6 and 6' 9"and 9" of the cylinders 6 and 9; is avoided when the two servo valves 15 and 20 are in their zero positions. The rock perforator-ZS which is pressureoperated rotates the drill rod 26 as well as the cutter head 27 attached thereto, and can also cause impacts on drill rod 26, and is movably mounted on the drilling carriage 11 by means-of a known (not illustrated).

What is claimed is 1. In a drilling support of the type comprising: a jib on a boring support carrier; a drilling carriage pivotally arranged above the jib; a rock-perforator tool means with a power feed slidably arranged on said drilling carriage; and a first power drive pivotally mounted on the jib and connected directly with the boring support carrier and adapted for lifting and lowering the drilling carriage, the improvement being in that the drilling support includes an additional power drive for positioning the drilling carriage, said additionalpower drive being pivotedly connected with the drilling carriage and disposed on the same side of the jib as the first power drive, said side of the jib also facing the rockperforator tool means.
2. The drilling support as claimed in claim 1 wherein the jib includes two arms angularly disposed to each other and wherein the jib extends to include points about which said first power drive and additional power drive are pivotedly mounted.
3. The drilling support as claimed in claim 2 in which the jib further includes a stiffening-rib-means disposed on that side of the jib away from the side on which are arranged the first and additional power drives.
4. The drilling support as claimed in claim 1 in which perpendicular distances of the first and additional power drives from their respective proximate pivotal points are equal.
5. The drilling support as claimed in claim I wherein said first and additional power drives each comprise a hydraulic piston in a cylinder, and the cross-sectional areas of the pistons are in the inverse ratio of perpendicular distances of the respective power drives from their respective proximate pivotal points.

The drilling support as claimed in claim 5 which further includes: a hydraulic circuit having said hydraulic piston-cylinder assemblies as part thereof and wherein the cylinders at their front ends are hydraulically interconnected by means of a conduit, said hydraulic circuit further includin g'a servo-valve provided with fluid inlet and outlets, which servo-valve is hydraulically connected by means of two further conduits to the back ends of said cylinders remote from their said front ends.
7. The drilling support as claimed in claim 6 in which the front and back ends of the cylinder of said additional power drive are hydraulically connected to a further servo-valve having fluid inlet and outlets, by means of conduits.
8. The drilling support as claimed in claim 6 wherein a releasable dual back-pressure valve is interposed in said two further conduits before the servo-valve.

Claims (8)

1. In a drilling support of the type comprising: a jib on a boring support carrier; a drilling carriage pivotally arranged above the jib; a rock-perforator tool means with a power feed slidably arranged on said drilling carriage; and a first power drive pivotally mounted on the jib and connected directly with the boring support carrier and adapted for lifting and lowering the drilling carriage, the improvement being in that the drilling support includes an additional power drive for positioning the drilling carriage, said additional power drive being pivotedly connected with the drilling carriage and disposed on the same side of the jib as the first power drive, said side of the jib also facing the rock-perforator tool means.
2. The drilling support as claimed in claim 1 wherein the jib includes two arms angularly disposed to each other and wherein the jib extends to include points about which said first power drive and additional power drive are pivotedly mounted.
3. The drilling support as claimed in claim 2 in which the jib further includes a stiffening-rib-means disposed on that side of the jib away from the side on which are arranged the first and additional power drives.
4. The drilling support as claimed in claim 1 in which perpendicular distances of the first and additional power drives from their respective proximate pivotal points are equal.
5. The drilling support as claimed in claim 1 wherein said first and additional power drives each comprise a hydraulic piston in a cylinder, and the cross-sectional areas of the pistons are in the inverse ratio of perpendicular distances of the respective power drives from their respective proximate pivotal points.
6. The drilling support as claimed in claim 5 which further includes: a hydraulic circuit having said hydraulic piston-cylinder assemblies as part thereof and wherein the cylinders at their front ends are hydraulically interconnected by means of a conduit, said hydraulic circuit further including a servo-valve provided with fluid inlet and outlets, which servo-valve is hydraulically connected by means of two further conduits to the back ends of said cylinders remote from their said front ends.
7. The drilling support as claimed in claim 6 in which the front and back ends of the cylinder of said additional power drive are hydraulically connected to a further servo-valve having fluid inlet and outlets, by means of conduits.
8. The drilling support as claimed in claim 6 wherein a releasable dual back-pressure valve is interposed in said two further conduits before the servo-valve.
