Abstract

A cylindrical member closed at at least one end has an axial bore extending through the closed end and sealed off at a point adjacent the other end of the member. This structure can be used as a base with flowers disposed in the bore.

COLL lMS 1 BATHROOM (HOUSEHOLD) ACCESSORY SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION My invention, which can be viewed as a form of Pop Art," is a facsimile of a toilet tissue roll closed at at least one end and having an axial-bore sealed off at a point adjacent the other end of he roll. The facsimile can be filled with flowers and used as a bathroom vase.

When the roll is hollow and is pen at the other end, it can be used simultaneously as a vase nd as a detachable cover for a roll of toilet tissue.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Referring now to FIGS. 1-7, a solid or hollow cylinder closed at both ends is provided with an axial bore 12 open at one end and sealed off at point 14 adjacent one end of the cylinder. The cylinder is shaped like a toilet roll, carried suitable external decorations, and can contain flowers 16 disposed in the bore. The cylinder can be made of ceramic, plastics r other materials.

Alternatively, a hollow cylinder 18, open at one end, can have a central opening 22 in the other closed end from which a second hollow cylinder 20 smaller in diameter extends axially downward. Cylinder 20 has an open end flush with opening 22 and an oppositely disposed closed end 24. This structure can e suitably decorated on the outside as before and can also carry flowers l6. However, this structure is also designed to act as a removable cover for a roll of toilet tissue 26 as shown.

While I have described my invention with particular reference 0 the drawings, such is not to be considered as limiting its actual scope.

Having thus described this invention, what is asserted as new is:

1. A combination vase and roll toilet tissue cover device adapted for vertical orientation on horizontal surfaces, said device comprising inner and outer coaxial cylindrically tubular members vertically oriented, with the upper ends thereof in substantially common horizontal alignment, a horizontally disposed annulus forming a top wall integrally joining the upper ends of said cylindrical members, the height of said inner tubular member being substantially greater than the diameter thereof and the lower end of said inner tubular member terminating slightly above the lower end of said outer member so as to be spaced from a horizontal #5 rfa e finltlli bfifi mfir fd SEES? member to the inner surface of said top wall, and the distance between the inner diameter of said outer member and the outer diameter of said inner member being such that said members and said top wall collectively form an annular cavity freely receiving a full roll of toilet tissue, and the lower end of said inner member being closed forming of said inner member a deep receptacle or vase.

Claims

1. A combination vase and roll toilet tissue cover device adapted for vertical orientation on horizontal surfaces, said device comprising inner and outer coaxial cylindrically tubular members vertically oriented, with the upper ends thereof in substantially common horizontal alignment, a horizontally disposed annulus forming a top wall integrally joining the upper ends of said cylindrical members, the height of said inner tubular member being substantially greater than the diameter thereof and the lower end of said inner tubular member terminating slightly above the lower end of said outer member so as to be spaced from a horizontal surface engaged by the lower end of said outer member, the distance from the bottom of said outer member to the inner surface of said top wall, and the distance between the inner diameter of said outer member and the outer diameter of said inner member being such that saId members and said top wall collectively form an annular cavity freely receiving a full roll of toilet tissue, and the lower end of said inner member being closed forming of said inner member a deep receptacle or vase.
