in the county of Lucas and State of Ohio,have invented a new and useful Device in Photographic Printing, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in photograph printing and vignetting frames; and it consists in the peculiar combinations and the construction, arrangement, and adap-A tation ofparts, all as more fully hereinafter described and claimed. A
VIn the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a perspective view of the printing-frame, showing the wire frame in place; and Fig. 2 is a similat view with the wire frame unhooked and raised for the insertion otthe vignetter and lissue'paper or other material.
Referring by. letter to the drawings, A designates a printing-frame of any approved construction, provided upon one side with looped hinges C, which engage one side of the quadrilateral Wire frame B, all four sides of which are convex in a vertical plane,with the convex side toward the .printing-frame.
E E are spring-clasps secured to the opposite sidts of the frame A, and are each provided with a slot, F, which engage catches or lugs D on the wire frame B, thus securing the said frame in place when desired. Thehinges C form loops, which permit a vertical play ol' the Wire frame. The rear side, ct, of the quad rilateral wire frame is not in axial line with the hinge, but forms an offset thereWith,as shown.
By means of this construction the foursides of the quadrilateral frame will always firmly clamp the vignette and tissue, and the thickness of thelayers does not make any difference.
What I claim as new is- 1. The combination, with theprinl ing-frame, of` a quadrilateral wire frame loosely hinged on one side of said frame and provided with spring-hasps on the opposite sides, and with the sides bent conveXl y downward, all substantially as described.
2. The combination, with the frame A and the hooked hinges O,secured to one side there of, of the wire frame B, loosely engaging thc loops of said hinges and having its sides bent convexly downward, the spring-clasps E, sc- Y.
