The object of my invention is to provide for the use of book-keepers and others a tablet carrying upon its under surface one or more sheets of blotting'paper, and having upon its upper side a writing-surface provided with cavities for receiving wet and dry sponges, pins, &c., and furnished upon one edge with hooks for holding a pencil.
The block A, forming the body of the tablet, is preferably made of a piece of slate having an inclined surface, a, which is smoothed and prepared for writing. In the thicker end of the tablet are formed three cavities, b c d. In the cavity b is placed a roll of. pins, 6, and in the cavities 0 cl are placed sponges f the spongef being dry and the sponge 9 being kept moist. Hooks 2' project from the side of the tablet A, for supporting a pencil, The
spongeg is designed for moistening the fin gers for handling bills and papers, and the for supporting a sponge and a quantity of pins in convenient position for use.
Having thus fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 1. In a combined tablet, paper-weight, and blotter, the combination, with the tablet A, provided with an inclined surface, a, and cavities b c d, of the blotters j, substantially as shown and described.
