Each specific case structure is a protective container for food, small animals, birds, plants and the like, and supported from laterally positioned supports removably supported on opposing vertical supports attached to a wall area.
COMBINED AWNING AND CASE STRUCTURE CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. The field of art in which applicant's invention is primarily related is class 47, Plant Husbandry, and more specifically, subclasses 39 and 40. Other classes and subclasses would be 135-5 under Canopies, and 160-19 under the general heading of Closures, Partitions and Panels, Flexible and Portable.
2. The prior art is believed to be related primarily to class 47, subclasses 39 and 40 to window solariums and the like, for raising plants. The prior art structures are mainly one-piece units attached to a window area and provided with one or more ventilators, at the top thereof, and in some structures a ventilator or other opening at the bottom of the same structural unit. Applicants invention includes one or more individual case structures adjacent an opening, each being vertically and also laterally adjustable. In addition, each case structure is interchangeable in whole or in part, with window awning features and weather protection also being provided.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to one or more combined window awning and case structures being employed adjacent a window or wall opening. Each case structure is removably supported to at least one horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member. The case supporting members are removably engaged to the opposing vertically disposed supports which are secured to the wall area, the members adjustably supporting each case structure freely of and in between the vertically disposed supports.
A main object of the invention is to provide a novel, and. a much improved structural and functional window awning and case structure, removably and adjustably attached and supported easily and also safely from within the building, with the case structures being interchangeable for the specific use thereof.
A further object of the invention is to provide a case structure having removable or replaceable panel members to suit any weather condition, and for the protection of any contents supported within a case structure.
With these objects and still others in view, as will hereinafter more fully appear, the invention comprises certain novel constructions, combination and arrangement of parts, hereinafter described and claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which of the:

Referring now more particularly to the drawing and;
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Attention is directed primarily to'FIGS. l, 2 and 3 wherein numeral 10 generally indicates the opposing vertically disposed supports, and also shown specifically by numerals l3 and I5. Numeral II generally indicates the horizontally positioned and laterally disposed upper and lower case supporting members, also shown specifically by numeral 18 in FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 6, and also by numeral I9 in FIG. 9. Numeral 12 generally indicates the vertically spaced apart case structures, also shown or referred to specifically by numeral 22 in FIGS. I, 2, 4, 6 and 9, and also by numeral 28 in FIG. 5, and by numeral 34 in FIGS. 3 and 7.
In Fig. l, the vertically disposed supports 13, formed of a rectangular or other suitable structural shape, are shown provided with vertically spaced apart and downwardly angled apertures M. The apertures 14 are laterally directed to extend through the vertical supports 13 to removably engage and support the horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members I8, or 19 of FIG. 9, securely therein.
The case structures or containers 12 or specifically 22, FIG. 1, are shown supported vertically spaced apart by the vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members 11 or specifically 18. The case supporting members 18 extend through apertures 27 formed in the sidewalls 23, FIGS. 4, 7 and 8 also, to adjustably and removably support the case structures 22 freely of, and in between the vertical supports 13.
FIG. 2 is a side elevation view of FIG. I, the vertical support 13 being removably attached to the window casing 47 by screws 17 or other suitable fastening means and supported against the windowsill 48. It is quite obvious that additional apertures 14, and additional case structures 22, may be provided depending upon the size of the case structures 22 and the height of the opening, or the height of the vertical supports 13 on the wall area.
Referring back to FIG. 1 the vertically movable case structures 22 are shown adjacent the window area 46. The case structures 12 are adapted to support and protect therein small animal life, birds, and more particularlyplants against the various weather changes.
The case structures 12 are fomted of any suitable material selected to suit the particular use and the form of objects contained therein. It is to be noted that weather awning protection is also provided against the elements of the weather, and more particularly against heavy rain. This protection is provided by the outward projections of the case structures 12, from an open window area, in preventing rain entering below and through the open area, depending upon the vertical location or the number of case structures 12 being employed and the open position of the upper and lower windows.
In FIG. 3, which is a side elevation view of a modified form of the invention, there are shown the laterally disposed apertures I6 vertically spaced apart on the vertical support 15. A single and modified form of a case structure 34 is supported at the top area of the vertical support 15. Illustrated in broken lines, the repositioned case structure 34 is shown employed in lowered position.
Vertical repositioning of the case structure 12, FIG. 3, is provided by moving laterally to one side, the preferably tubular-shaped case supporting members 18. Upon disengagement of case supporting members I8, from the apertures 16 of one of the vertical supports 15, the case supporting members 18 are moved reversely to disengage the apertures 16 of the opposing vertical support 15. The unit is removed, and lowered, with the case supporting members 18 repositioned to engage the selected lower apertures 16 of vertical supports 15.
Another modified form of case structure 28, FIG. 5, is shown provided with spaced apart upper and lower upwardly angled apertures or slots 33 formed in the sidewall panel 29. The case structure 28 comprises a bottom supporting platform 30, a front panel 31 and a top cover panel 32. Theupwardly angled apertures 33 of sidewall panel 29 are adapted to engage the case supporting members 18 for the removable support of case structure 28, between the opposing vertical supports 10.
In FIG. 6, the modified form of case structure 22 is provided with hook-shaped supports 44, which eliminates the sidewall apertures 27 shown in FIGS. 1, 4, 7 and 8. The hook-shaped supports 44 are attached by screws 45 or other suitable fastening means, with a hook-shaped support 44 being employed on each sidewall 23 of case structure 22. The case structure 22 is removably supported with the hook-shaped supports 44 engaging the case supporting member 18.
A modified form of case supporting members 19, FIG. 9, are shown attached to the sidewalls 23 of case structure 22. Case structure 22 comprises a bottom supporting platform 24, sidewalls 23, a front wall 25 and an outwardly and downwardly angled top cover 26. The case supporting members 19 are supported by the attached flanges or circularshaped supporting members 20. Flanges 20 are fastened to the sidewalls 23 by securing pins 2] or other suitable fastening means.
The embodiment of FIG. 9 eliminates apertures 27 in the -sidewalls of the case structure 12. Unobstructed access through the rear lateral portion of the case structure 22 is provided therein. This is advantageous when smaller size case structures 12 are employed in small or limited window or open wall areas, such as in trailer or mobile homes.
Referring back once more to FIG. 3, reference is directed mainly to the case structure 34, shown also in detail in FIGS. 7 and 8. The movable top cover panel member 39 is shown extending outwardly and beyond the front flange portion 51 of sidewall 35, also in FIG. 7.
In FIG. 7, the case structure 34 shown in a cutaway view, is provided with adjustable and interchangeable panel members. Case structure 34 has a removably attached bottom supporting platfonn 37, a removably attached front vertical panel member 38, a removably attached adjustable top cover panel member 39 and a removably attached rear vertical panel member 40. The case structure 34 may be formed with or without certain selected panel members to provide a fully enclosed or partially assembled case structure 34.
It is quite evident that the removable panel members of case structure 34, of FIGS. 3 and 7, may be constructed of metal, wire screen, rigid plastic, glass or any suitable form or type of material depending upon the selected use therefor. Any mixed combination of removably attached panel members may be employed and supported by the panel supporting sidewall members 35 of FIGS. 7 and 8. Also, two or more laterally smaller case structures 12 may be installed and supported laterally, side by side, between the opposing vertical supports 10. The case structure or structures 12 are supported spaced from and in between the vertical supports 10.
In FIG. 8, the inner side of the separable panel supporting sidewall member 35 is shown. Sidewall member 35 is provided with two slots or apertures 41 formed in the top flange portion 49, and one slot or aperture 41 formed in the front vertical flange portion 51 thereof. The apertures 41 are adapted to slidably engage the removably attached panel members 38, 39 and 40 of FIG. 7 for attachment within the panelsupporting channels or grooves 36 shown in FIG. 8.
Panel supporting sidewall member 35, FIG. 8, is also pro vided with a supporting member 42 attached or formed to the inner side thereof. The apertures 27 extend through the supporting member 42 and sidewall member 35. A rear vertical supporting member 43 is attached or made a part of the sidewall member 35. A bottom flange portion 50 supports thereon, and below supporting member 42, the removably attached bottom supporting platform 37, as shown in FIG. 7. It
is to be noted that the sidewalls 35 may be shaped or cast to provide the various grooves 36 and flange portions 49, 50 and 5 I.
In the various forms of case structures 12, such a structure may be employed utilizing only a bottom supporting platform member 24, 30 or 37, with opposing angularshaped sidewall members 23, 29 or 35, and a front wall 25, 31 or 38, or a rear wall panel member 40. The completely enclosed case structure 34 is the embodiment of FIGS. 3 and 7.
An important feature of the invention is the simplicity of the various structural embodiments and the manual functioning thereof. Other important features are the combined results obtainable containerwise and weatherwise from a combined awning and case structure.
Additional important features involve do it yourselfers" in erecting and also maintaining the invention safely and from within a high building. Also, the packaging and mailing of disassembled sections in very small compact bundles for the do it yourselfers to purchase.
It should now be apparent that the invention described herein accomplishes all of the objects set forth in the specification and the described embodiments clearly illustrate the principles of the invention.
Iclaim:
1. In a combined weather awning and case structure supported in vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent a window opening in the outer wall area of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to the outside area surrounding said window opening and positioned with the extreme lower end portion of each of said supports on the windowsill area of said window opening for the main support thereof, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending completely through each of the said vertically disposed supports, at least one horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member adjustably engaged and removably supported through both of the said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed apertures for the lateral adjustment and the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting member, a case structure defining at least a bottom supporting platform, opposing sidewalls and a front or rear wall, said case structure being slidably engaged in lateral adjustment and removably supported on the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structure being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby the said movable case structure is employed as a container for support ing and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning upon being repositioned above the said base area to provide weather protection in said window area.
2. In a combined weather awning and case structure supported in vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent a window opening in the outer wall area of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to the outside area surrounding said window opening and positioned with the extreme lower end portion of each of the said supports on the windowsill area of said window opening for the main support thereof, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending completely through each of the said vertically disposed supports, vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members, each of the said case supporting members being adjustably engaged and removably supported through both of the said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed vertically spaced apart apertures for the lateral adjustment and the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting members, a case structure defining at least a bottom supporting platform, opposing sidewalls and a front or rear wall, said case structure being slidably engaged in lateral adjustment and removably supported on the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports,
said case structure being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby the said movable case structure is employed as a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning upon being repositioned above the said base area to provide weather protection in said window area.
3. The combined weather awning and case structure of claim 1 wherein the said opposing sidewalls of said case structure are provided with apertures therethrough, said sidewall apertures adjustably and removably engaging the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member therethrough for the said laterally slidable and adjustable engagement of said case structure on said case supporting member.
4. The combined weather awning and case structure of claim 1 wherein each of *the said opposing sidewalls of said case structure is provided with a hook-shaped member having a downwardly extending hook portion to frictionally and removably engage the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member for the said laterally slidable and adjustable engagement of said case structure on said case supporting member.

The combined weather awning and case structure of claim 2 wherein the said opposing sidewalls of said case structure are provided with apertures therethrough, said sidewall apertures adjustably and removably engaging the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members therethrough for the said laterally slidable and adjustable engagement of said case structure on said case supporting members.
6. Combined weather awning and case structures supported in vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent a window opening in the outer wall area of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to the outside area surrounding said window opening and positioned with the extreme lower end portion of each of the said supports on the windowsill area of said window opening for the main support thereof, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending completely through each of the said vertically disposed supports, vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members, each of the said case supporting members being adjustably engaged and removably supported through both of the said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed vertically spaced apart apertures for the lateral adjustment and the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting members, vertically spaced apart case structures, each of said case structures defining at least a bottom supporting platform, opposing sidewalls and a front or rear wall, each of the said case structures being slidably engaged in lateral adjustment and removably supported on at least one of the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structures being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby each of the said movable case structures are employed as a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning upon being repositioned above the said base area to provide weather protection in said window area.
7. Combinedweather awning and case structures supported in vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent a window opening in the outer wall area of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to the outside area surrounding said window opening and positioned with the extreme lower end portion of each of the said supports on the windowsill area of said window opening for the main support thereof, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending completely through each of'the said vertically disposed supports, a plurality of vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members, each of the said case supporting members being adjustably engaged and removably supported through both of the said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed vertically spaced apart apertures for the lateral adjustment and the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting members, vertically spaced apart case structures, each of said case structures defining at least a bottom supporting platform, opposing sidewalls and a front or rear wall, said case structures being slidably engaged in lateral adjustment and removably supported on the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structures being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby each of the said movable case structures are employed as a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning upon being repositioned above-the said base area to provide weather protection in said window area.
8. A combined weather awning and case structure adapted for vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent an opening in a wall ofa building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to an area surrounding said opening, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending through each of the said vertically disposed supports, at least one horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member adjustably engaged and removably supported through said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed apertures for the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting member, a collapsible and interchangeable case structure defining at least a removably attached bottom supporting platform member, removably attached opposing panel supporting sidewall members, a removably attached front wall panelmember and a removably attached top cover panel member, the inner side of each of the said sidewalls being formed with a series of grooves for supporting thereto the said defined removably attached members, said supporting grooves located near the top of each of the said sidewalls extends forwardly and at a downward angle thence vertically and downwardly and thence horizontally and rearwardly to form the said series of grooves, whereby the said defined members are preattached and assembled to form the said case structure, said preassembled case structure being engaged and removably supported by the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structure being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby the said movable case structure is employed as either or both a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning when repositioned at a suitable distance above the said base area depending'upon existing or anticipated weather conditions.
9. Combined weather awning and case structures adapted for vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent an opening in awall of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to an area surrounding said opening, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending through each of the said verti cally disposed supports, vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members adjustably engaged and removably supported through said laterally and vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures for the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting members, vertically spaced apart collapsible and interchangeable case structures, each of said case structures defining at least a removably attached bottom supporting platform member, removably attached opposing panel supporting sidewall members, a removably attached front'wall panel member and a removably attached top cover panel member, the inner side of each of the said sidewalls being formed with a series of grooves for supporting thereto the said defined removably attached members, said supporting grooves located near the top being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby the said movable case structures are employed as either or both a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awningwhen repositioned at a suitable distance above the said base area depending upon existing or anticipated weather conditions.
Claims (9)
1. In a combined weather awning and case structure supported in vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent a window opening in the outer wall area of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to the outside area surrounding said window opening and positioned with the extreme lower end portion of each of said supports on the windowsill area of said window opening for the main support thereof, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending completely through each of the said vertically disposed supports, at least one horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member adjustably engaged and removably supported through both of the said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed apertures for the lateral adjustment and the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting member, a case structure defining at least a bottom supporting platform, opposing sidewalls and a front or rear wall, said case structure being slidably engaged in lateral adjustment and removably supported on the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structure being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby the said movable case structure is employed as a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning upon being repositioned above the said base area to provide weather protection in said window area.

In a combined weather awning and case structure supported in vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent a window opening in the outer wall area of a building oR the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to the outside area surrounding said window opening and positioned with the extreme lower end portion of each of the said supports on the windowsill area of said window opening for the main support thereof, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending completely through each of the said vertically disposed supports, vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members, each of the said case supporting members being adjustably engaged and removably supported through both of the said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed vertically spaced apart apertures for the lateral adjustment and the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting members, a case structure defining at least a bottom supporting platform, opposing sidewalls and a front or rear wall, said case structure being slidably engaged in lateral adjustment and removably supported on the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structure being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby the said movable case structure is employed as a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning upon being repositioned above the said base area to provide weather protection in said window area.

The combined weather awning and case structure of claim 1 wherein the said opposing sidewalls of said case structure are provided with apertures therethrough, said sidewall apertures adjustably and removably engaging the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member therethrough for the said laterally slidable and adjustable engagement of said case structure on said case supporting member.

The combined weather awning and case structure of claim 1 wherein each of the said opposing sidewalls of said case structure is provided with a hook-shaped member having a downwardly extending hook portion to frictionally and removably engage the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member for the said laterally slidable and adjustable engagement of said case structure on said case supporting member.

The combined weather awning and case structure of claim 2 wherein the said opposing sidewalls of said case structure are provided with apertures therethrough, said sidewall apertures adjustably and removably engaging the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members therethrough for the said laterally slidable and adjustable engagement of said case structure on said case supporting members.

Combined weather awning and case structures supported in vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent a window opening in the outer wall area of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to the outside area surrounding said window opening and positioned with the extreme lower end portion of each of the said supports on the windowsill area of said window opening for the main support thereof, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending completely through each of the said vertically disposed supports, vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members, each of the said case supporting members being adjustably engaged and removably supported through both of the said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed vertically spaced apart apertures for the lateral adjustment and the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting members, vertically spaced apart case structures, each of said case structures defining at least a bottom supporting platform, opposing sidewalls and a front or rear wall, each of the said case structures being slidably engaged in lateral adjustment and removably supported On at least one of the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structures being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby each of the said movable case structures are employed as a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning upon being repositioned above the said base area to provide weather protection in said window area.

Combined weather awning and case structures supported in vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent a window opening in the outer wall area of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to the outside area surrounding said window opening and positioned with the extreme lower end portion of each of the said supports on the windowsill area of said window opening for the main support thereof, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending completely through each of the said vertically disposed supports, a plurality of vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members, each of the said case supporting members being adjustably engaged and removably supported through both of the said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed vertically spaced apart apertures for the lateral adjustment and the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting members, vertically spaced apart case structures, each of said case structures defining at least a bottom supporting platform, opposing sidewalls and a front or rear wall, said case structures being slidably engaged in lateral adjustment and removably supported on the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structures being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby each of the said movable case structures are employed as a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning upon being repositioned above the said base area to provide weather protection in said window area.

A combined weather awning and case structure adapted for vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent an opening in a wall of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to an area surrounding said opening, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending through each of the said vertically disposed supports, at least one horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member adjustably engaged and removably supported through said laterally spaced apart and laterally directed apertures for the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting member, a collapsible and interchangeable case structure defining at least a removably attached bottom supporting platform member, removably attached opposing panel supporting sidewall members, a removably attached front wall panel member and a removably attached top cover panel member, the inner side of each of the said sidewalls being formed with a series of grooves for supporting thereto the said defined removably attached members, said supporting grooves located near the top of each of the said sidewalls extends forwardly and at a downward angle thence vertically and downwardly and thence horizontally and rearwardly to form the said series of grooves, whereby the said defined members are preattached and assembled to form the said case structure, said preassembled case structure being engaged and removably supported by the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting member and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structure being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby the said movable case structure is employed as either or both a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning when repositioned at a suitable distance above the said base area depending upon existing or anticipated weather conditions.

Combined weather awning and case structures adapted for vertically movable and adjustable attachment adjacent an opening in a wall of a building or the like comprising, laterally spaced apart vertically disposed supports attached to an area surrounding said opening, vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures extending through each of the said vertically disposed supports, vertically spaced apart horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members adjustably engaged and removably supported through said laterally and vertically spaced apart and laterally directed apertures for the selected vertical repositioning of said case supporting members, vertically spaced apart collapsible and interchangeable case structures, each of said case structures defining at least a removably attached bottom supporting platform member, removably attached opposing panel supporting sidewall members, a removably attached front wall panel member and a removably attached top cover panel member, the inner side of each of the said sidewalls being formed with a series of grooves for supporting thereto the said defined removably attached members, said supporting grooves located near the top of each of the said sidewalls extends forwardly and at a downward angle thence vertically and downwardly and thence horizontally and rearwardly to form the said series of grooves, whereby the said defined members are preattached and assembled to form the said case structures, said preassembled case structures being engaged and removably supported by the said horizontally and laterally disposed case supporting members and supported spaced from and in between the said opposing vertically disposed supports, said case structures being vertically repositionable in a range extending from the base area to the top of said vertically disposed supports, whereby the said movable case structures are employed as either or both a container for supporting and protecting objects therein and as a weather awning when repositioned at a suitable distance above the said base area depending upon existing or anticipated weather conditions.
