BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a round container having a closeable opening for the removal of individual articles from the container, and more particularly, wherein the bottom portion of the container and the lid are rotatably connected with each other by means of successively engaging flangelike beads or thickened portions, respectively, projecting toward the outside or toward the inside and extending along the entire circumference.
In the past, small articles which could be easily spilled by careless opening of the packaging containers or capsules were generally packed into boxes or containers having small closeable openings from which the articles could be withdrawn individually or in small numbers. However, the manufacture of such containers was not always economical, especially since the insertion of the parts or pieces to be packaged through the small openings was a difficult process, and the boxes or containers were composed of several parts.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is the aim of the present invention to provide a container of the aforementioned type, which container has only a small number of individual components and which also can be produced in an economical manner. The underlying problems are solved in accordance with the present invention by constructing the container so as to consist of a bottom made of synthetic material such as polypropylene, polyethylene or synthetic rubber with four lobes or flaps formed thereon and with a metallic lid. The lid is provided with a punched-out section which is sealed from the inside of the container by the lobes of the bottom. In addition, the punched-out section is provided with a lobe which serves as an abutment or stop.
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a container having a closeable opening which avoids by simple means the shortcomings and disadvantages encountered in the prior art.
Another object of the present invention is in making readily possible the introduction of the small articles to be packaged into the container and, in addition, allow the container to be manufactured inexpensively because only two parts are required for the closeable container.
A further object of the present invention arises in employing the container for propellant cartridges 'or ammunition, because the forces occurring during a possible explosion of the cartridges or ammunition are transmitted only in part, if at all, due to the deformation of the container bottom which is made of a synthetic material thus increasing the transporting safety.
A still further object of the present invention resides in the fact that the metallic lid affords the advantage that it can be printed more easily and economically.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Referring now to the drawing and in particular to FIG. 1, a section through the metallic lid 1 is illustrated. In the top side 2 of the lid, there is provided a punched-out section 3 which is dimensioned according to the size of the article to be withdrawn. The position of the punched-out section 3 on the lid can be seen in FIG. 2. A lobe 4 of the punched-out section 3 can be bent inwardly so as to act as an abutment or stop. The rim 5 of the lid is drawn inwardly, so that the lid 1 can be snapped-locked onto a corresponding bottom 6 as is shown in FIG. 5.
The bottom 6 is made of synthetic material and is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 as being constructed in such a manner that lobes 8, which are disposed in an upright position as shown in FIG. 3, are shaped or molded onto the wall 7 of the bottom. Because of an appropriate choice of material, lobes 8 are elastically attached onto the wall 7 and are bent over toward the inside of the container before the closing thereof. The wall 7 of the bottom also has an externally disposed flangelike bead or thickened portion 9 which serves to retain the lid 1 in conjunction with the inwardly drawn portion of the rim 5.
Finally, the assembled and interlocked container 10 is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. There it can be seen that the lobes 8 of the bottom 6 serve to seal the punched-out section 3 on the lid 1.
While we have shown and described only one embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it is understood that the same is not limited thereto but is susceptible of numerbus changes and modifications as known to a person skilled in the art, and we, therefore, do not wish to be limited to the details shown anddescribed herein but intend to cover all such changes and modifications as encompassed by the scope of the appended claims.
What we claim is:
l. A container comprising a bottom of synthetic material operatively connected with a metallic lid having a closeable opening for the withdrawal of individual articles, wherein the improvement essentially comprises a plurality of lobes operatively connected with the bottom for sealing the closeable opening of the lid from the inside of the container, and the closeable opening of the lid is formed from a punched-out section having a lobe serving as a stop in combination with the plurality of lobes for sealing the closeable opening.
2. A container according to claim 1, wherein the bottom and the lid are substantially cylindrical in shape.
3. A container according to claim 1, wherein the bottom and the lid are rotatably connected by means of successively engaging flangelike beads or thickened portions projecting toward the outside or inside of the bottom or lid, respectively, over the entire circumference.

1. A container comprising a bottom of synthetic material operatively connected with a metallic lid having a closeable opening for the withdrawal of individual articles, wherein the improvement essentially comprises a plurality of lobes operatively connected with the bottom for sealing the closeable opening of the lid from the inside of the container, and the closeable opening of the lid is formed from a punched-out section having a lobe serving as a stop in combination with the plurality of lobes for sealing the closeable opening.
2. A container according to claim 1, wherein the bottom and the lid are substantially cylindrical in shape.
3. A container according to claim 1, wherein the bottom and the lid are rotatably connected by means of successively engaging flangelike beads or thickened portions projecting toward the outside or inside of the bottom or lid, respectively, over the entire circumference.
4. A container according to claim 3, wherein the bottom and the lid are substantially cylindrical in shape.
5. A container according to claim 3, wherein the plurality of lobes are elastically connected with the bottom.
6. A container according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of lobes consist of four lobes elastically connected with the bottom.
