tinned sheet iron or other suitable material and which is firmly united with the tube 6, by soldering or in any other convenient and This receiver is placed in such relation to the tube Z), that the latter passes clear through its center and a cover 0,
which is provided with a central hole to pass over the end of the tube, is placed on the receiver. By this arrangement water or other liquid which may be poured into the receiver can be heated in a very short time.
The receiver is provided with a handle (Z, so
that the same with the tube 6, can be convenientlytaken off from the bulb a, when its contents arehot.
The bulb a, is provided with a window 6,
through which the flame can be observed from the outside and at the same time this window admits some light from the flame into the room so that a lamp with my attach-ment can be conveniently used as a nurse lamp. This window is in one side of the bulb andit consists of a small aperture covered with mica or other suitable material. By turning the bulb the light emanating from said window can be thrown in any desired direction.
Having thus fully described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is ceiver 13, substantially as and for the purpose shown and described. 2. Thearrangement of the window 0, in the metal bulb a, of a chimney A, as and for WARREN L. FISH.
