Specification forming part of Letters Patent No 35,552, da'ed June 10, 1 62.
To all'whom it may concern:
Be it knownthat I, ALBERT TArLrN, of Providence, county of Providence, and State ofRhode Island,have invented an Improved Gone to be used on Kerosene or Goal Oil Burners; and I do declare that the following is a full andexact description thereoflreference being had to the accompanying drawing and letters of reference marked thereon.
The nature of my invention consists in turn ing the rim of the cone upward at A A and outward at B B,thus lengthening out the cone, r so that a sufficient draft is created for the well burningof the flame without bringing the blaze in contact with the glass chimney. This arrangement, when attached to a burner having a. cap over wick-tube, having projections outward from the top of the tube andopenings at the lower extremity so regulates the draft of air supplied to the flame that there is required only a short chimney. This I claim as the great advantageof my invention, resulting from the peculiar rim of the cone, as described, for which I desire to secure Letters Patent. ALBERT TAPLIN.
