IMPROVED COMBINATION OF SOFA AND BATHING-TUB.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent N o. 35,289, dated May 20, 1862.
i. To all whom, tmc/y concern:
. Be it known that I, SARAH A. BALDWIN, of the city of VVaterbuiy, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented new and Improved Sofajand Bathing Apparatus Combined; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, figures, and letters of reference thereon, making part of this speciiication.
Of the said drawings, Figure l shows a plain elevation of the two together. Fig. 2

My invention `is particularly designed for large cities, where rents are so high as to eX- clude bathing-rooms, and also for the rooms of invalid and infirm persons, whereby the advantages of bathing and the `economy of room are both-obtained at slight expense.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my inventioml will describe the construction of the same.
The bath-tub A is a wooden boX of the de- -sired size and shape, lined with metal, Water tight, and provided an inclined head-board,
