UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
SAMUEL JABDEN, OF BALTIMORE, MARYLAND.
ODORIZED KEROSENE-OIL.
Specification forming part ofLetters Patent No. 34,577, dated March 4, 1862.
I bination of certain odorous oils that will min gle chemically with the said kerosene-oil, and thereby perfume the said oil.
To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to describe its combination and operation.
I mix a preparation consisting of one-fifth of an ounce each of oil of lavender, oil of cinnamon, oil of bergamot, oil of lemon, and oil of rosemary with five (5) gallons of keroseneoil, which said oils form a chemical combination with said kerosene-oil and disguise its odor, making a new and agreeable odor in its place.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The manner of odorizing kerosene-oil as above stated, or by combination with said es- .sential oils in greater or less proportions, if the said manner of odorizing be substantially the same.
