MILK AND WATER COOLER.
SFECILFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 322,144, dated July 14, 1885. Application filed April 7, 1885. N 0 model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD WILLIAMs, of Lynn, in the county of Essex and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and Improved Milk and \Vater Cooler, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.
Figure l is a plan view of my invention with the covers removed. Fig. 2 is a vertical section.
The object of my invention is to provide a.
can for cooling milk or water in which the ice employed in cooling it is not brought in contact with the liquid to be cooled.
My invention consists in the construction and arrangement of parts, as will behereinafterfully described, and specifically set forth in the claim.
The can or tank A is of the usual well-known description, provided with strengtheningbands at and handles 1), and with a cover, 0, adapted to tightly close the top of the can.
To the bottom of the can, and in the center thereof, is secured an inner tank, B, leaving an annular space, 0, around it between its walls and the walls of the can A.
The inner can, B, is provided with stays or braces e, which are secured to the inner surface of the walls of the can A. A tube, f, extends from the inner can, B, through the v wall of the outer can, A, and is provided with a stop-cock, g. A stop-cock,h, communicates with the annular space 0 around the can B. Ice is placed in the can B, and the liquid to be cooled is placed in the annular chamber 0 around the can B, and is cooled by contact with the said can.

For convenience in handling my improved a can, I have provided trunnionsz', which are attached to the sides of the can A alittle above the center of gravity of the said can, and are cooler consisting of the can A, having two compartments, B 0, separate faucets and covers,
