  • the preliminary bath can contain other conventional additives, such as anti-fogging agents, stabilizers, additines for adjusting the pH-value, which has to be about 7 or below, for example, alkali-metal bisulfa-tes or wetting agents.
  • Suitable stabilizers or preserving agents are, for example, alkali-metal suifites, bisulfites or mctabisulfites, and ascorbic acid.

  • aqueous developer composition that is free from bromide ions contains a preserving agent of the class consisting of alkali-metal sulphites, alkali-metal bisulphites and alkalimetal metabisulfites.
