. My invention relates generally to lighting fixtures, and more particularly to fixtures for elongated light sources and including an elongated reflector surrounding the light source and supported at its ends from a pair of junction boxes. The fixture is supported through the junction boxes which provide enclosed wiring chambers for the current supply meansto the` lamp socket at eachV end.
An object of this invention is` to provide an improved arrangement for universal angular aiming adjustment of` the reflector relative-to any fixed position ofthe junction boxes at the ends thereof.

Referring to the drawing, and speaking generally, the fixture comprises an elongated concave reflector 1, a pair of reiiector end members 2 secured to the ends of the retiector and each carrying a lamp socket 3 to receive the bases at the ends of the lamp 4, such as a conventional iuores'cent lamp, and a pair of junction boxes 5 to which are attached the reflector end members 2.
As shown in Fig. l, the reliector 1 is secured at each end, by suitable fasteners such as bolts and nuts 6, to the correspondingly curved inner face of a ange 7 on the reflector end member 2. Each socket 3 is attached to the wall of the associated reector end member 2 by screws 8 (Fig. 2) which extend through apertures or slots 9 (Fig. 3) at opposite sides of a hole 10 in said wall through which extend the current supply conductors 11 from the socket.
In accordance with the invention, there is provided a clutch plate 12 (Fig. 2) which is retained loosely in an i internal circumferential groove 13 adjacent each side of the cylindrical body portion of the junction box 5 so that the said plate 12 can rotate through a full 360 in its groove. When the assembly of junction box 5 and clutch plate 12 is placed against the face of the reector end member 2, an eyelet ange 14 on the clutch plate is engaged and located by the inner periphery or diameter of a circular rib 15' on the face of the reector end member.
In assembling the parts, the junction box '5 and clutch plate 12 are rotated relative to the reector end member 2 to align a pair of tapped holes 15 (Fig. 4) in the 'clutch plate with a pair of corresponding clearance holes in the reector end 2, and a pair of screws 16 are inserted United ,States Patent through the said clearance holes and threaded loosely into the tapped holes.

By tightening the pair of screws 16, the clutch plate 12 is drawn tightlyagainst the side of its retaining groove 13 and the side face of the junction box 5 is pulled tightly against the face of the reflector end member -2 or, preferably, against an interposed liber gasket 17 which is cemented-to the face of the reflector end member and is located thereon by the outer diameter of the circular rib 15'. The clutch plate 12, junction box S and reflector end 2 are rigid members, and tightening of the screws 16 causes the` clamping load to be essentially uniformly distributed.

The access port -18 also serves the purpose of a wiring access opening and it is sealed, by a gasketed cover 19 and twoscrews 20.

Each of the junction boxes 5 provides an enclosed wiring chamber, and the integral tapped conduit nipple 22 enables the fixture to be mounted onto lengths of conduit to support each end, as well as to convey electrical supply conductors to the sockets 3.
In accordance with standard practice, the reflector end member 2 is preferably provided with a cylindrical flange or skirt 23 concentric with the holes 10 and surrounding the socket 3 and adapted to receive one end of a exible cylindrical rubber boot (not shown) which encloses the socket 3 and the end of lamp 4 to provide a Weather-tight enclosure. The sockets 3 may be of the conventional telescopic type for receiving the bases at the ends of the lamp 4 and conducting current thereto.
What I claim as' new and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is:
l. In a lighting fixture, the combination of a pair of spaced apart junction boxes, a pair of reector end members located at respective opposed sides of said junction boxes, a socket carried by each of said end members to support therebetween a tubular lamp, a reector extending between and secured to said reflector end members to enclose' a lamp in said sockets, said junction boxes each having an internal circumferential groove adjacent said side thereof, a clutch plate member having its periphery retained loosely in the said circumferential groove in each junction box for rotation therein, and means for retaining each reliector end member and its associated clutch member against relative rotation therebetween and for drawing toward each other Said clutch plate and reflector end member to clamp therebetween a portion of the associated junction box whereby to retain the assembly of reector, reector end members and clutch plates in a desired angular position relative to the junction boxes.
2. In a lighting fixture, the combination of a pair of spaced apart junction boxes, a pair of rellector end members located at respective opposed sides of said junction boxes, a socket carried by each of said endmembers to support therebetween a tubular lamp, a reile'ctor extending between and secured to said reector end members to enclose aV lamp in said sockets, said junction boxes each having an internal circumferential groove adjacent said side thereof, a clutch plate member having its periphery retained loosely in the said circumferential groove in each junction box for rotation therein, and
screw members extendingvthrough openings in each reflector end member and into threaded engagement with tapped holes in the associated clutch for retaining each reector end member and its associated clutch member against relative rotation therebetween and for drawing toward each other said clutch plate` and reflector end member to clamp therebetween a portion of the associated junction box whereby yto retain the assembly of reilector, reector end members and clutch plates in a desired angular position relative to the junction boxes.
3. In a lighting xture, a junction box lhaving an in-` ternal circumferential groove adjacent one side thereof, a reector end member at said one side of said junction box, a socket carried by `said reflector end member, a clutch plate having its periphery retained loosely in said circumferential groove for rotation therein,and means for retaining said rellector end member and clutch plate against relative rotation therebetween andV for ,drawing toward each other saidreflector end member and clutch plate to clamp therebetween a portion ofv the junctionbox whereby. to retain the assembly of reector end member and clutch plate in a desired angular position relative to the junction box. In a lighting xture, a junction box lhaving a pair of internal circumferential grooves adjacent opposite Y 4 sides thereof, a reilector end member at each one of said sides" of the' junction box, a socket carried by each one of said rellector end members, a pair of clutch plates each having its periphery retained loosely in one of said circumferential grooves for rotation therein, and means for retaining each said reector end member and its associated clutch plate against relative rotation therebetween and for drawing towardV each other said rellector end member and clutch plate to' clamp therebetween a portion of the junction box whereby to retain the assembly of reector end member and clutch plate in a desired angular position relative .to the junction box.
5. In a lighting xture, a junctionY box having an internal circumferential groove adjacent one side thereof, a reilector end member at said one side of said junction box, a socket carried by said reector end member, a clutch plate having its periphery retained loosely in said cicumferential groove4 for. rotation therein, and screw members extending through openings in saidv reector end member and into threaded engagement with tapped holes in saidV clutch plate Vfor retaining said' reector end member and clutch pl'ate" against; relative rotation therebetween and for drawing toward ea'ch other said reilector' end member'a'nd clutchplate to clamp' there'- b'etween a portion of the junction box whereby to retain the assembly of rellector end member and clutch plate in a desired angular position relative ttthe; junction box.
