the inner end of-which screw is adapted to strike the end of the pump, It will now be seen that as the shaft with its eccentric is revolved, the bifurcated frame will be reciprocated, and by taking the position shown in Figs. 2 and 3 ,of the pump, and supposing the frameto be moving in the direction of the arrow in the said figures, it will be seen that the piston will be drawn out of the pump, the latter being held from sliding with the piston by the adhesion of the sides of the pump to the sides of the.casing,which clamp the pump in sucha manner that it onlyslides bya stronger pressure, As the piston thus is drawn 'out, it will draw the lubricant from its reservoirfintothe' pump-bore through the inlet-channel, and in traveling out in the direction of the arrow the set-screw upon theother arm of: the frame willv strike the end of the pump,push1ngit outin the 90 direction of thearrow, placing the lateral channel of the pump opposite to the outlet' cha'nnel in the rear side'of the casing, whereupon the, frame will travel back in the direction opposite to'the arrow, pushing the piston into the pump, 9 which will-now'eject the lubricant through the outlet-chahnel into the parts to be lubricated;
