TELEGRAPH-POLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 290,752, dated December 25, 1883.

T0 aZZ whom it nuty concern Be it known that I, BENJAMIN A. DAVIS, a citizen of the United States, residing in Chesterfield county and State of Virginia, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Supporting Telegraphires, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to telegraph-poles for supporting telegraph-wires.
The object of my improvement is to be able, when timber is scarce, as on the prairies, to use two small poles in place of, as now customary, using one. By crossing them I give additional strength sidewise. I obtain this object by the mechanism illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in Whicl1- Figure l is a perspective view of two poles crossed at A, and secured together by a bolt with head and nut.
