  • the present application for a patent of invention refers to a bathing vessel for hygiene and medication of the nasal conduits. Up to the present time, there has not been known any article or device for this purpose. At the present time, the hygiene and medication of the nasal conduits is carried out by means of droppers, rubber syringes and atomizers, or usually. when there is not involved medication but simply hygiene, this is done by cupping the palm of the hand in order to bring the liquid from the receptacle to the nose. This is not very satisfactory in practical operation.

3 Claims. (Cl. 128-250) The present application for a patent of invention refers to a bathing vessel for hygiene and medication of the nasal conduits. Up to the present time, there has not been known any article or device for this purpose. At the present time, the hygiene and medication of the nasal conduits is carried out by means of droppers, rubber syringes and atomizers, or usually. when there is not involved medication but simply hygiene, this is done by cupping the palm of the hand in order to bring the liquid from the receptacle to the nose. This is not very satisfactory in practical operation.
In order to avoid all these difiiculties or drawbacks and present a device which can be used at all times without difficulty, avoiding losses of bathing water or medicament and in order to hygienically treat the nasal conduits, either standing or in bed, without the necessity of using droppers, etc., and, at the same time, avoiding any accidents due to breakage of the dropper once it has been introduced into the nose, whereby it will be possible to further generally nasal hygiene, I have evolved a bathing receptacle as shown in the attached drawing, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of my bathing receptacle, and
Figure 2 is a perspective view showing the bathing receptacle applied to the nose of a user.
In accordance with these drawings, 1 is the body of the bathing receptacle in the form of a truncated cone having on one side of the cone an indentation 2, in order to be able to apply the bathing receptacle at its indentation to the center of the upper lip as shown in detail in Figure 2.
My bathing receptacle carries on its truncated part a projecting part or handle 3 for the correct positioning of the bathing receptacle when used.
2,793,641 Patented May 28, 1957 My bathing receptacle is used as follows: The receptacle is raised a certain distance at the lower part of the edge of the indentation 2. The receptacle is held with the handle 3, and the bathing receptacle is positioned in such a manner that the indentation rests against the upper lip of the user and the upper edge of the bathing receptacle rests on the center part of the nose. When the bathing receptacle is positioned in this manner, the user will gently inhale, and the liquid which is in the bathing receptacle will be drawn-in and passed through tne nasal conduits, thus bringing about the hygienic treatment and/or medication desired.
Having thus described my invention, I declare that what I claim as my property and use is:
1. A bathing receptacle for hygienic treatment and medication of the nose having an indentation which fits the upper lip of the user, the edge of said receptacle being applied against the bridge of the nose, said indentation being adapted to allow retention of bathing fluid by the pressing of the border of said indentation against the yielding skin of the upper lip and checks, wherein the improvement consists of said receptacle comprising a member in the shape of a truncated cone which bears said indentation on one of the sides of said cone, said V cone allowing complete bathing of the nose by a maximum surface of bathing liquid consistent with a minimum quantity thereof.
2. A bathing receptacle as in claim 1 wherein a projecting part or handle is disposed on the outside of said cone for placing the bathing receptacle and holding it in the desired position, while allowing immediate adjustment of the attitude of the receptacle in preventing escape of bathing fiuid.
3. A bathing receptacle as in claim 2, wherein said projecting part is disposed on the vertex of said cone to permit immediate full control of the disposition of the bathing fluid by virtue of the symmetry of said receptacle about its conical axis and the leverage exercisable by manipulation of said projecting part.
