MEDICINAL COMPOUND.
SPECIFICATIONforn ing part of Letters Patent No. 276,835, dated May 1, 1 883.
' Application filed July 27 1881. Renewed February 19, 1883. (No specimens.)
To all whom itmay concern.-
Be it known that I, EVAN H. LAWRENCE,
of Social Circle, in the county of Walton, and
in the State of Georgia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Medicinal pound; ginger,onepound; gentiamone poundy white-ash bark, one pound; soft water, twelve gallons. The ingredients named are thoroughly mixed together, and after standingfor 'forty-eight hours are placed under a heavy pressure, and then filtered,when theeompound is ready for use, and is administered in doses from one tea-spoonful upward, dependent upon the age of the person using it and the character of the disease for which it is-taken.
Having thus fully set forth the nature and merits of my invention, what I claim as new lS- The hereinbefore-described compound, to be used in the treatment of diseases of the stomach and bowels, consisting of alcohol, senna, may apple, seneca snakeroot, columbo, ginger, gentian, white-ash bark, and soft water, combined in the proportions substantially as specified.
