(Cl. l3283) Heretofore when vanity boxes were made to receive a compacted powder holder or pan it was customary to cracking the powder cake in the pan or otherwise marring the box.
For this purpose a partition or holder frame is hinged to the body of the vanity box and the powder pan assembled to the under side of the frame after which the frame is hinged back into the box body. Furthermore, by this construction the frame can be made so that a portion of its face wall overlies the upper edge of the powder pan as well as the adjacent portion of the powder cake so as to eliminate any space or unsightly cracks around the pan.
