This invention relates generally to holders for wrapping cord and more specifically to such a device which is adapted for use in association with manner that the spool of cord is disposed out of sight beneath the counter, or other support, and with only an ornate cord dispensing portion appearing above the counter, or other support.
Fig. 1 is a side elevational view illustrating one of the holders for spools of wrapping cord of the element by which the holder is supported being shown in Fig. 1.

Fig. 3 is an enlarged fragmentary section taken on line 33 of Fig. 2.
Fig. 4 is an enlarged fragmentary section taken on line i-4 of Fig.2.

In the drawing, wherein is shown for purposes section taken an opening B formed through a, counter B, or other supporting structure. The projection protects the cutting edge of the blade from damage and it also makes it less likely that a persons hand would come into contact with the exposed cutting portion of the blade.
I claim:
1. A holder for a spool of wrapping cord comprising 'a'tubular member having an upper portion adapted ior projection through an opening formed through a part of a structure by which the holder is supported, a fixed head at the upper end ofsaid tubular member which is adapted for disposition above and in contact with said supporting structure and is provided with a cord passageway which communicates with the bore of said tubular member, a cap removably mounted on said tubular member adjacent to the lower end thereof having an annular flange adapted to support a spool of cord on said tubular member beneath said supporting structure, and cutting means supported by' said head and adapted for use in cutting said cord.

A holder for a spool of wrapping cord comprising a tubular member having an upper portion adapted for projection through an opening formed through a part of a structure by which the holder is supported, a fixed head at the upper end of said tubular member which is adapted for disposition above and in contact withsaid supporting structure and is provided with a cord passageway which communicates with the bore of said tubular member, a cap removably mounted on said tubular member adjacent to the lower end thereof and adapted to support a spool of cord on said tubular member beneath said supporting structure, said tubular member being provided with opposed slots formed in the wall thereof and said cam having protuberances which extend into said slots for fixing said cap to said tubular member, and cutting means supported by said head and adapted for use in cutting said cord.
7 A holder for a spool of wrapping cord comprising a tubular member having an upper portion adapted for projection through an openingfcrmed through a part of a structure by winch; the holder is supported, a fixed head at the upper end of said tubular member which is adapted; for disposition above and in contact with said Slipporting structure and is provided with a cord passageway which communicates with the bore: of said tubular member, a cap removably mounted; on said tubular member adjacent to the lower end thereofand adapted to support a spool of cord on said tubular member beneath said sup: porting structure, saidtubular member being provided with opposed inverted L-shaped' slots formed in the wall thereof and said cap having protuberances which extend into said slots for fixing said cap tosaid tubular member.
