1 Claim.

This invention relates to coin holders.

An object 'of this invention is to provide a coin holder which includes a magazine of flat formed with at least one opening in one endv thereof through which coins or tokens may be inserted or removed,the coins or tokens being held in the .vide a holder of this kind which may be stamped out of sheet metal, the parts forming the holder being soldered or otherwise secured together in telescoping position.

To the foregoing objects, and others which may hereinaftermore fully appear, the invention consists of lthe novel construction, combination and arrangement of parts, as will be more specifically referred to and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, but it is to be understood that changes, variations; and modifications may be resorted to which fall 4Within the scope of the invention as claimed.

Referring to the drawing, the numerals I and Il designate generally a pair of telescoping housing members which are secured together as by soldering or rthe like. The housing member I0 is of elongated configuration and includes an elongated plate I2 which at its rear end with a right-angular end ange I3. I2 is provided along the lengthwise edges thereof with right-.angular side flanges I4 attheir forward ends indicatedUt I so as to thereby provide a mouth I6 at tn'jfrward end of the holder.

The housing member Il includes an elongated plate I9 which at its upper or rear end is formed with 5 a right-angular flange 20 and is formed on its lengthwise edges with right-angular flanges 2|.

'Ihe flanges 20 and 2l telescope into the anges I3 and I4 and are secured by tongues or other fastening means 22. The plate I9 is formed with aA forwardly projecting curved forward end 23 having a concave cutout 24 which forms a finger recess whereby a coin C engaging in the mouth IB may be engaged by a thumb or finger so as to withdraw the coin from the holder. The side flanges 2| of the housing member II are also formed with a pair of bowed integral spring "-'iingers 25 which are reversely bowed as at 26.

The fingers 25 are adapted to project into the mouth I6 for resiliently retaining the coin C in the mouth and each finger 25 is formed with a y pair of detents which prevent the fingers from catching on the forward end of wall I9 of housing II.

1' The holder comprising the complementary housing members I0 and II may have a suitable supporting means secured to the rear or inner housing member I I and in the present instance a safety pin 21 is secured to the plate I9 adjacent ,1 the upper end thereof. It will be understood 30 that any suitable securing or supporting means may be provided for attaching or supporting the holder. A conventional safety pin 21 is herein T disclosed as one form of fastening and support- 1 ``ing means for the holder. The housing mem- 3'5 bers I0 and I I are provided with aligned holes 28 vand 29 for receiving a ring in lieu of the safety pin, or if desired, a spring clip such as are used -Kon pens and pencils may be used.
