GRAIN-SEPARATOR.
Specification of Letters Patent No. 25,677, dated October 4, 1859.
To all whom 'it may concern: 7
Be it known that I, JACOB SEEBoLD, of New Berlin, in the county of Union and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Grain-Separators; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing, forming part of this specification, in the several figures of which similar characters of reference denote the same oart.
1 The figure represents a side view of the machine.
The nature of my invention consists in attaching to the thresher a perforated separator by means of a rocking frame, or shaft having an arm on each side to which the separator is fastened, the arm on one side is longer and has a slot, to which is attached by a pin through the slot, a rod connecting with a wheel in front of the thresher. The separator is supported at the other end on a similar rocking frame attached to it by two short arms and having a spiral spring extending from one arm of the frame to the separator to assist in the movement of the separator.
The details are as follows:
