The first number indexed on the inside of drawer opposite zero, on the outside, isizero, the first. indexed in the drawer marked llilld'oii the outside, is one hundred, and so on. In marking the outside of drawers the ciphers may be left oii'. They always represent thousands, and each side of a double drawerin the method herein described will 1 index; one thousand boxes, files, or pigeonbc-used, if desired.
