V In the case where the snubbing unit 5 and the clamping bar M are made of metal, those parts thereof which come into engagement with the wire when anchored may be suitably insulated, as by covering the parts with rubber or other insulating material, but I have found that this is not absolutely essential, since the device functions with a minimum of chafing action or other likelihood of damage to the usual insulation on the wire 9 itself. In lieu of making the parts of metal, they may be made of hard rubber, fiber, plastic, glass, porcelain, Bakelite, or other similar material of adequate strength when suitably proportioned, and which have insulating properties, although the latter are not essential. ' 3. An anchor connector of the class described;
comprising a frame having laterally spaced, parallel. sides, multiple wire snubbing means mounted on said frame for snubbing engagement with a wire to be anchored, said snubbing means substantiallyirigid, unit having a plurality of snubbing members transversely extended there from win equidistantly spaced relation to each other, the opposite ends of the snubbing unit aforesaid being offset at. a right angle to the longitudinal axis of: the unit, and being apertured to loosely receive one of the parallel sides of the frame therethrough, whereby to permit both sliding and pivotal movements of the snubbing unit relative to the frame, the free ends of the spaced snubbing members, normally resting upon the other parallel side of the frame when the wire to be anchored has been alternately interlaced 7', comprisinga frame having laterally s'p'aced,parallel sides, multiple wire snubbing means mounted on said frame for snubbing engagement with a wire to be anchored, said snubbing means having the form of a longitudinally extended, substan tially rigid, unit having a plurality of'snubbing members transversely extended therefrom in equidistantly spaced relation to each other, and wire clamping means also mounted on said frame at one end of said snubbing meanasaid clamping means having the form of a transversely extended clamping bar having its opposite ends offset at a right angle thereto and being apertured to loosely receive the respective parallel sides of the frame therethrough, whereby to permit sliding movement of the clamping means relative to the frame and to the snubbing means, said clamping means and snubbing means being adapted to receive the wire therebetween for clamping engagement therewith.

An anchor connector of the class described, comprising a frame having laterally spaced, parallel sides, multiple wire snubbing means mounted on said frame for snubbing engagement with a wire to be anchored, said snubbing means having the form of a longitudinally extended, substantially rigid, unit having a plurality of snubbing members transversely extended therefrom in equidistantly spaced relation to each other, and wire clamping means also mounted on said frame at one end of said snubbing means, said clamping means having the form of a transversely extended clamping bar having its opposite ends offset at a right angle thereto and being apertured to loosely receive the respective parallel sides of the frame therethrough, whereby to permit sliding movement of the clamping means relative to the frame and to the snubbing means, said clamping means and snubbing means being adapted to receive the wire therebetween for clamping engagement therewith, one end of said clamping bar being extended for interlocking engagement with one of the snubbing members of the snubbing means when in its wire-clamping position.

An anchor connector of the class described, comprising a frame, wire snubbing means mounted on said frame for snubbing engagement with a wire to be anchored, and wire clamping means also mounted on said frame at one end of.said snubbing means, said snubbing means and clamping means being relatively movable on said frame towards and away from each other and being adapted to receive the wire therebetween for clamping engagement therewith, and means for interlocking the clamping means with the snubbing means for maintaining the clamping relation of the same.
7. An anchor connector of the class described,
- comprising a frame, wire snubbing means mounted on said frame for snubbing engagement with a wire to be anchored, and wire clamping means also mounted on said frame at one end of said snubbing means, said snubbing means and clamping means being relatively movable on said frame towards and away from each other and being adapted to receive the wire therebetween for clamping engagement therewith, and means for interlocking the clamping means with the snubbing means for maintaining the clamping relation of the same, said snubbing means being also pivotal on said frame for swinging movements about an axis parallel to the direction of relative movements of the snubbing means and clamping means.

An anchor connector of the class described, comprising a frame, wire snubbing means mounted on said frame for snubbing engagement with a wire to be anchored, and wire clamping means also mounted on said frame at one end of said snubbing means, said snubbing means and clamping means being relatively movable on said frame towards and away from each other and being adapted to receive the wire therebetween for clamping engagement therewith, and means for interlocking the clamping means with the snubbing means for maintaining the clamping relation of the same, said snubbing means being also pivotal on said frame for swinging movements about an axis parallel to the direction of relative movements of the snubbing means and clamping means, and said means for interlocking the clamping means with the snubbing means being effective responsive to swinging movement of the snubbing means in one direction about its pivotal axis, and being ineffective responsive to swinging movement in the opposite direction.
