Be it known that I, HARBERT K. FoRBIs, of Danville, in the county of Boyle and State of Kentucky, have invented a new and Improved Thill-Goupling, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
The object of my invention is to provide a new and improved thill-coupling which is so constructed that the thill will be held firmly I to the shaft and coupling and uncoupling of the thill is greatly facilitated.
The invention consists in an angular thill bolt or pintle the free end of which rests against the axle and is locked on the same by T5 a spring-latch on the axle.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved thill-coupling, parts being shown in section. Fig. 2 is a cross'sectional elevation of the same. Fig.

The casing M is attached to a 0 rounded strip, Q, fastened to the axle E.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by 6 Letters Patent, is-
1..A spring-latch, in combination with the angular belt of a thill-coupling, substantially as herein shown and described, and for the pur-- pose set forth. 7o
2. In a thill-coupling, the combination,with the jaws O, the eye A,- and the angular, bolt H, of the spring-latch boltK on the axle, substantially as herein shown and described, and for the purpose set forth.
3. In a thill-coupling, the coinbinatiomwith the jaws O,the eye A, and the angular bolt H, oi the bolt K, the spring L, and the casing M, attached to the axle E,substantially as herein shown and described, and for the purpose set forth.
