My device will be readily understood by reference to the accompanyingdrawings.
Ataisshownthefront, constructedofwroughtiron or steel, and provided with the usual doors and other openings, I) b I). Around the edge is bolted a molding or angle-iron, 0, entering the brick-work, as shown in the section, and
assisting to hold the front in position, and at the same time to exclude the cold air from the boiler. At 66 is a T-iron bolted across the boilerfront, serving to stiffen it, while an angle-iron, 0, serves the same purpose, and also as a support for the chutef.
My front can beinade of comparatively thin iron, while retaining equal or greater strength than the ordinary cast-iron front now in use, nor is it liable to crack or break from unequal expansion or contraction.
What I claim as my invention is--- The improved boiler-front herein described, made of wrought-iron or steel, and provided with the molding or angle-iron 0, extending entirely around itsedge and entering the brickwork, said front being attached and braced at cl 6, substantially as herein set forth and shown.
