Theu invention is*- of: use in the art of duplicating-v and is of particular use in connection with Wet process duplicatingV al-A though not so limited.`
When my invention isfapplied to therwet Aproc-- ess' art of'duplica-ting, Iprovidev a masterfhaving generaldata tl'lereonand= a pluralityof sectionsof specialized data, all, of this data being provided' thereon with duplicating ink;
In ordery to expeditevsuch transference of data; IA arrange a plura-litylofv unit stri-ps offlikewidt'hinto a seriesl or assembly suitably fastened togeth'erA inA stepped relation so' that"v eachV cardA dis-` closes a predetermined width of offset portion;Y After the cards are` thusv assembled, I" fold the master in such a manner'that4 merelythat portion thereof with specialized dataisexposed and then press themoistened card assembly" against that portion of' the master with' the offset portion aligned with the. specialized data sections; After this specialized datahasbeen` transferredto thisrrnultiplicity ofL cards; the unitary character ofthe assem'blyis'brolren by detachingthe .cards from their mounting andfth'e' master isl turned over so as to expose thatportion' thereofv which containsthe generaldata; Each one of the cards may then be` successively moistened"` and" pressed against the master to transfer'thegeneraldatal to said cards;
I will describe one. form which my' invention' may takev by referring-more particularly to the accompanying drawings in whichw Fig. 1 is a front View showing a unit strip assembly, certain. portions being.l broken away more clearly to reveal features off'l construction and arrangement; i
Fig. 2 is a front view of the unfolded master, the data on the front face being in reverse in copying ink onl the rearV facethereof;

Fig, 4 is a similar View to that of Fig. 3 with the folded master arranged upon the drum in such manner that the general data may be transferred successively to the individual cards.
Referring more particularly to Fig. l, I show a unit strip assembly designated generally by the numeral I0, which unit strip assembly consists of the cards II, I2, I3, I4, |251; |16; ITI?,` mi; F912 2m, 2i?, 22, 23, I and 24. In order to print the specialized data upon the assembly, I fold the master along line 30 and insert it on the drum as shown in the illustration. The card assembly may then be inserted into the machine in juxtaposition to the exposed or uppermost portion of said master and the specialized data transferred to the 22's--` sembly, it being understood, of course, that the assembly is previously moistened prior to its contact with the master. After the specialized data is thus transferred to the cards, the cards are separated from their mounting strips and 26, and thereupon the master is reversed on the drum as shown more' clearly in Fig. 4, so that the general data is'u'ppermo-st or outermost. The individual cards may then be moistened and fed through the machine to transfer the general data upon the cards. Should it be desired to omit the transferable material on the master which is found between the fold lines and 3l, then the master is folded along line 3| instead of along line 30 when it is inserted'into the drum in the" manner shown in Fig. 4.
From what has been thus describedthe nature v of my invention will be clear to those skilled in the art, and it will alsobe apparent that modifications thereof maybe made within the spirit of the appended claims. i
What I claim is: l
1.l In the` method of duplicating from reverse copy whereby to transfer like and unlikev copy from a master toia plurality of moistened copy cardunit strips of like width, the steps of placing general-data constituting the like copy on one area of a master and uniformly spaced lines of specialized data constituting said unlike copy onianother adjacent area of said master, preparing anl assembly of unit strips in overlapped s-tepped relation detachably `fastened together with the oset portion of each card of said strip of a width to receive a line of said vspecialized data, and with the general data receiving portions of aid overlapped cards covered by the cards overlapping the same, folding the master back-on itelf between the area having the general data thereon and the area having Athe specialized data thereon with the general data carrying area underneath, pressing the moistenedy card assembly with its, offsetportions in alignment wi-th the lines of specialized data o-n said specialized data 'carrying area into engagement with the exposed face of said master tofthereby transfer a line of specialized data respectively to each of said card offsets, separating said cards from each other by detaching said cards from said assembly, reversing said master in such folded condition so as to have the area thereof with the general data thereon-uppermost, and placing the individual moistened cards successively against the area of said mas-ter then exposed to thereby imprint said general data upon saidcards. l
' InthemethOd o-f duplicating from reverse copy whereby to transfer like and unlikecopy from a maser to a plurality of moistened copy card uni-t strips of Ylike width, the steps of placing general data constituting the like copy on one area ,of ;a -master and uniformly spacedlines of specialized data constituting said unlike copy on another adjacent area o-f'said master, preparing an assembly of unit strips infoverlapped stepped relation detachably faStenedtOgether with the offset portionfof each .card yof saidstripfof a width to receive la line of said specialized zdata, and with the general data receiving portions of. said overlapped cardscovered by the cards overlapping the same, folding the master back on itself between the area having the general data thereon and the area having the specialized data thereon with the general data carrying area underneath, pressing the moistened card assembly with all but one of its offset portions in alignment with the lines of specialized data on said specialized data` carrying area into engage-ment with the exposed face of said master to thereby transfer a line of specialized data respectively to all but one of said card offsets, separating said cards from each other by detaching said cards from said assembly, reversing said master in such folded condition so as to have the area thereof with the general data thereon uppermost, and placing the individual moistened cards successively against the area of said master then exposed to thereby imprint said general data upon said cards.
3. In the method of duplicating from reverse copy whereby .to transfer like and unlike copy from, a `master-to a plurality of-Inoistened copy card unit-strips` of v like width, theV steps. of placing general data constituting the like copy on one area of a master and uniformly spaced lines of specialized data constituting said unlike copy on another adjacent area of said master, preparing an assembly of unit strips .in overlapped stepped relation detachably fastened together with the offsetportion of each cardof said strip of a wid-th toreceive a line of said specialized data, and with the general data rereceiving portions of said overlapped cards covered by the cards overlapping the same, folding the master back on itself between the area having the general data thereon and the area having the specialized data thereon with the general data carrying area underneath, pressing the moistened card assembly with its offset portions in alignment with the lines of specialized data on said specialized data carrying area into engagement with the exposed face of said master to therebytransfer a line of specialized data respectivelyto each of said card offsets, separating saidrcardsfrom each other by detaching said cards fromy said assembly, unfolding said master and refolding it along a line to place a portion ofthe general data carrying area on the same side of the fold line as said specialized data carrying area with said portion and said specialized data carrying area underneath, and placing the individual moistened cards successively against the` area of said m-aster then exposed to thereby imprint the remainder of said general data upon said cards.
