BOSS FOR TEA-KET I'LE SPOUTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 244,402, dated July 19, 1881.
Application filed January 20, 1881.
To all whom it may concern Be it known thatI, JONAS HENRY SMITH, of Listowell, in the county of Perth, in the Proviuce of Ontario, Dominion of Canada, have invented a certain new and useful Boss for Tea- Kettle Spouts; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same.
My invention relates to a very simple yet ef- (N0 model.)
that A,Figure 1, representsaside view of a tea- 2o kettle B, the spout; O, the corrugated boss D, a flange at the lower portion of the boss, which is securely fastened, by soldering, riveting, or both, to the kettle.
' Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the boss and its flange.
What I claim as my invention is- The combination, with a tea-kettle'spout, B, of a corrugated metallic boss, 0, the same being made to fitand be secured to the spout and kettle, substantially as and for the purpose specified.
