ARMOR Filed Aug. s, 1942 Inventor '/rles se/vk Jamais By @Mm WWW# Patented Oct. 29, 1946 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE 1 Claim.
This invention relates to new and useful improvements in armored vehicles and more particularly to an armored ghting tank especially adapted for use in warfare.
These and other important objects and advantages `of the invention wil1 become apparent to the reader of lthe following description. g
In the drawing- Figure 1 is a fragmentary side elevational view of the Wall plates of .theI tank before the aggregate has been poured.
Figure 2 is a fragmentary Vertical sectional view through a wall portion of the tank showing the concrete filler.
The body or shell of the tank, not shown, comprises an outside wall a, an inside wall b, and an intermediate wall c, these walls being in spaced relation. The intermediate wall c is formed with openings and a concretious aggregate is poured in the spaces between the walls, with the openings serving to allow some of this aggregate to form binding connections between the wall ing an outside wall, an inside wall, a plane surfaced intermedi-ate wall interposed between the inner and outer walls and in equidist-antly spaced relation therewith, and a concretious deposit in the spaces between .the walls, said intermediate wall being formed with openings so that the concretious deposit can connect between the spaces betere hardening.
