UNITE STATES PATENT OFFICE,
HARDING YATER, OF NOBLE, ILLINOIS.
OINTMENT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 238,015, dated February 22, 1881.
Application filed May 24, 1880. (Specimens.)
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, HARDING YATER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Noble, in the county of Richland and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful composition of matter to be used for the treatment of piles and fistula, of which the following is a specification, viz:
Lard, sixteen ounces; tin, two hundred grains; zinc, eighteen grains; lead, twelve grains 5 rosin, two hundred grains copper, ten grains. A quantity of the metals in the proportion mentioned should be melted together and formed into a thin plate. The lard and rosin, having been previously united, should be mixed upon this plate of the composition until the proportion of the metals mentioned has been united with the lard and rosin, which may be ascertained by its assuming a bluish lead color.
The above composition is to be used by applying to the parts affected with the finger after-each stool until a cure is effected, which any detrimental result following the use of the 0 same.-
What 1 claim, and desire to obtain Letters Patent of the United States for, is-
The herein-described composition of matter for the treatment of piles, 850., consisting of 3 5 lard, lead, tin, copper, zinc, and rosin, in the proportions specified.
