3 Claims. (011258-44) This invention relates to railway car side doors and more particularlyto means for moving such doors. The conventional box car has a door opening adjacent the center o f'each side wall and doors movable in planes parallel with the side walls for closing the door openings. i
An object of the invention is to provide rolling means for railway car side doors, which means may be easily brought into operative engagement with the track by movement'of a conveniently located handle. A further object is to utilize such handle to engage bracket carried by the track for the purpose of imparting initial. movement tothedoor. i
Another object is to provide wedge shaped engaging parts on the door andvtracks, respectively, e to support the door when the rolling means are disengaged from the track. 'I'he'wedge provides additional friction to retard movement of the door.
Another object is to provide toggle means for lifting the door and bringing therolling means into engagement with the track. It is well known that a toggle is well suited for lifting heavy ob-' jects; such as railway car doors.

The track 3 is comprised of an angle with the inwardly directed leg 32 flared (33) downwardly: and inwardly.
