The instantinvention yand the `toolgof saidpatent haveseveral features in .common,land` a common principle of structure in general and attention is directed to said patent for features here disclosed and not here claimed- `An object of this invention is to provide ,certain and new arrangements of the several structural elements whereby to facilitate manufacture of parts, their assembly and the practical operation and application of the new tool in a given bore `and its traverse thereof to cleanthe bore and clean out detritus therein.,
A purpose is to provide for the ready interchange of collapsible piston heads of the tool so that the body assembly and its carriage may be quickly adapted to bores of different sizes.
Afurther aim of the invention is to provide a means to quickly and effectively obtain release ffof the tool in instances where it may become jammed ina bore beingncleaned.

In this embodiment a stiiltubular or other `form of body element 2 is adapted to be auto- Umatically centered in a bore by longitudinally spaced, annular sets of pilot wheels 4 on transprovided a means in theform of a sufficiently collapsible kite or piston which is self-distending to a normal, at disc form. In the instant disclosure there is slidably related to, and mounted on the body member 2, a second body member 25, here called the coref for distinction, having a` stop shoulder 26 limiting axial sliding action inwardly of the core on the member 2 under the tension of suitable springs 21 anchored at 28 to the forward portion of the member 2 and at# tachedalso to the rear face of related, semi-disc `plates 29e-30.
These plates parts 29 and 30 are,at their diai metrical edges, provided with any suitable interhinging structure, asbight straps 3| looped about a common, diametrical axle composed of aligned, radial rods 32 which are preferably-removably screwed at 33 into opposite sides of the core 25.
` The semi-discs 29--30 form the basal supportof `and for a suitable, diametrically split piston packer 34which may be of firm and exible rubfber or a suitable `substitute sheet form and has abutted edges at the axle. The front (down stream) face of the piston packer-34 is armored by iiat, semi-disc covers 35 rigidly secured against the packer "by bolts 36 or other suitable means also securing, in the assembly, the piston parts 2li- 30. l
The springs 21 aresecured, at their forward ends, to anchors 31, on respective piston parts 29-30, at locations inwardly from the outer ends of diametrically opposite links 38 having anchors 39 at their inner ends on the forward end of the carriage body member 2 and being distally attached at 40 to the margins of the piston parts Therefo-re, if the piston gets stuck in a bore if, then, the main'body member 2 is pulled rearwardly by the retracting cable I3 the links 38 will tug on the piston leaves and tend tofrelatively cold Y lapse them at their .hinge so that the head water being used may flow past the rim of the piston parts and wash ahead interfering detritus or sand, or the whole tool can be pulled back by the cable I3 in some instances of use.

What is claimed is:
yA kite type sewer washer including a tubular, elongate, rear, body member having a pull back device on its rear end, a fore end body member having a stem slidable axially in the said rear member and having a' pulling hitch, ay pair of :semi-discs `forming a piston and folda-bly connected by a pivot device mo-unted diametrically on said fore member and about which the semidiscs fold in one direction as said members axially shift relatively, rigid braces pivoted at their Aouter ends to outer portions of said semi-discs and pivoted at their rear and inner ends to the .rearbcdy and ya set of tensioned springs connected to therea-r member and to said semiediscs to concurrently contract the body members and tov pull the semi-discs into a common, piston forming plane; sai-d membershaving mutual po- -WILLIA1VI D.
