Assuming that the'typewriter key retaining lever H is in the dash lineposition B and that a person wishes to use the typewriter, said person must insert a coin into the coin receiving mechanism l4 and press the member Mb into the dash line position C as shown best in Fig. 3 of the drawings. When this member Mb passes 'inwardly to the dash line position C; the cutaway portion 14c thereof engages the upwardly extending pin 8b of the operating lever B forcing said operating lever 8 into the dash. line position D carrying with it the trip lever Ill. pawl members 6 and 1 engage the ratchet wheel 5 when the operating lever is in the dash line position D and the clockworks in connection with the main spring casing 411 start to operate in the conventional manner under the force exerted by the tension spring 8a, in connection therewith. When the operating lever B is forced into the dash line position D by the cutaway portion Me of the member Mb, the trip lever I is pressed into the solid line position, as shown best in Fig. 3

Though I have shown anddescribed' a particular construction, combination and arrangement of parts and portions, I do not wish to be limited to this particular construction, combination and arrangement, butdesire to include in the scope of my. invention the construction, combination andarrangement substantially as set forth in the appended claims.
Having thus described my invention, what I vclaim as new and. desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
1. In a coin operated typewriter control apparatus of the class describe-d, the combination with a typewriter having-a key control member near its'lower side, of a typewriter table on which said typewriter is secured, an enclosed casing positioned under said table top directly under. said typewriter, a typewriter key retaining lever pivotally mounted on said enclosed casing and extended through said table top and arranged to engage said typewriter key control bar member, a coin controlled mechanism in operative relation with the lowerend of said lever for controlling the shifting of said lever into and out I of-engage-ment with said typewriter key control bar member, said coin operated typewriter con trol apparatus including tension spring means g mounted in said enclosed casing in'connection with said lever tending to hold said'lever out of engagement with said typewriter keycontrol bar member, and reciprocally mounted gear I and ratchet means in'engagement with the lower end of'said lever member arranged to shift it in opposed relation with said spring.
