SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 232,514, dated September 21, 1880.
Application filed December 13, 1879.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Enson LANPHEAR, of Lincoln Centre, in the county of Lincoln and State of Kansas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in WVindrnills; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact. description of the construction and operation of the same,reference being had to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon.
Figure 1 of. the drawings is arepresentation of a plan of my windmill, and Fig. 2 is a sideelei ation view of the same.
The nature of my invention relates to windmills; and it consists in the construction and arrangement of parts, as fully set forth in the following description, and particularlypointed out in the claim.
1n the annexed drawings, A refers to arms which radiate from a central block, B, which is placed upon a shaft, 0. These arms are bent upward at rightangles at their outer ends, and upon such upwardly-bent portions are hung the fans or vanes D by means of eyes a.
