The invention has for its principal objects to devise a strong and durable carton of simple and economical construction which can be readily divided into `a plurality of separate, completely closed smaller carton sections. The invention consists in lthe divisible carton and in the construction, combinations and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and claimed.

A carton comprising a closed body including top, bottom and side walls and two vertical partition walls that abut atwise one against another and connect said side walls and divide said carton into two compartments, said top and bottom walls comprising inturned flaps along the upper and lower edges of said end walls that terminate short of said partition walls and inturned closure iiaps along the upper and lower edges of said side walls that are folded upon and are secured iiatwise to said end wall tlaps, each of said side walls having a vertical slot therein disposed in alinement with said partition walls, whereby said carton is adapted to be divided into separate closed carton sections by severing said top and bottom closure aps along lines extending from the slot in one side wall to the slot in the other side wall, both of said partition walls extending through thevertical slots in said side walls and terminating in reversely bent end portions that are permanently secured ilatwise to the outside faces of said walls on opposite sides of said slots.
