The fur knit ou the cone by atmospheric pressure induced. hy a suction in the pipo` F, hclow the cone. the suction heinf; caused hy a fan as usual. The tur may he conveyed lo the cone in greater or lesa quantitiesK at dilterent points. so that the hat hotly will Vary in thielinesa hy adjusting' the tubes (I. Hat bodies moet generally gradually increase in thickneae from the crown to the hriln. and in order lo effeet, this result, hy my invention the tuhca o?. are. so adjusted as to he lgradually more inclined from the upper to the lower one, vthereby conveying the fur to the cone in a gradually increasing Yohnne from its upper to ita lower end, (See red linee Fig'. l.) or at any desirahle point the operator wishes to arrest the fur.
