` 1 Claim. `(Cl. 1,2 128) Thil invention appertains to supports or holdmeans forproperly supporting a plurality of pairs of shoes in a stretched condition above the floor. One of the primary objects of my invention is to provide a supporting bar for connection with the inner face of a `clothes closet door or the like, having secured thereto trees for receiving a plurality of pairs of shoes, whereby the shoes can be kept in an orderly and neat manneroff the closet floor and above settling dust and the like.

Another salient object of my invention is to provide a unitary device forsupporting a plurality of pairs of shoes, which will be of an exceptionally simple and durable character, and Which canbe manufactured and placed upon the market at a reasonable cost.`

With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in the novel construction,v arrangement, and formation of parts,'=as will be hereinafter more specifically described, claimed,

The improved device S includes a horizontally disposed, ilat bar 5, which can be formedfrom strap iron. The bar, at appropriate pointscan l be provided `Vwith openings for `the reception of fastening elements 6, whereby the bar `can be rmlysecured in place on the inner surface of a closet door or other appropriate point. In placing the shoes 0n the shoe trees 1, the toe-pad `or plate 9 can be inserted in the after which the spring can be flexed so as to insert the heel knob l0 in the shoe. Thiswill maintain the shoes in a properly stretched vcondition and will effectively support the shoes above the oor. Thus, the shoes can be kept in a neat and orderly` condition above settling dust, and the floor of the closet can be kept clear. t

`Particular attention is directedV to the fact that the shoes are held spaced from the `Wall or closet door D. Hence, air canpass around the shoes and the shoes can bekept in a sanitary condition.

` Obviously, the bar 5 and the shoe trees 1 can be treated in anypreferred manner, so as to enhance the appearance thereof to the eye.
