(crow-2 '1") u The present invention relatesto disk plows and more particularly to a novel means of mounting 1 An important object of the invention resides in the provision of a plow disk mounting which permits ready adjustment'of the plow disk with a minimum' amount of time and effort.
Another object of the invention is the provision of ,a novel housing having a transverse bore therethrough for receiving a shaftadapted to support'the plow disk. A bracket supported on a vertical shaftextending from the plow, beam is attached to one side of the housingand includes afacing having a serrated portion engaging a corresponding serrated portion on the side wall of and bracket.
' A further object of the inventionis the provision of a mounting having the above mentioned characteristics which will be relatively simple andinexpensive in manufacture and installation, highly efficient in use, durable in service and a general improvement in the art.
The invention will be fully andcomprehensively understood from a consideration of the following detailed description when read in connection. with the accompanying drawing which forms a part of the application.

The axle l4 secured'within the bore is and suitably supported on thebearings I 6 and. [8, ref spectively, is reduced and threaded at each endas shown in Figure 2 of the drawing. A felt retaining washer 21 is positioned adjacent the enlarged bearing "5 and the plow disk 22 is then s pported on the shaft between the washers 23 Y e and 24, repectively; and held thereon by means, ofthe lock .nut 25. The smaller bearing 18 is retained in place by means of the nut and cotter pin 26. Thus it will be seen that provision is made for the shaft I4 and disk 22 to freely rotate within the housing I 2, lubricant being sup plied to the rotating partsthrough the fitting 27.

It'is readily understood that lateral adjustment of the plow disk 22 is obtained through the medium of the serrated portions 28 and 29 formed on the housing I2 and bracket 30, respectively. Vertical adjustment is obtained through the medium of the collar 34 and laterally extending sections 32 and 33 respectively through which the shaft H extends. Thus there is provided a plow disk mounting comprising a minimum number of parts that provides for proper support of the plow disk with respect to the plow beam and at the same time permitting the required adjustments necessitated in the use of such implements.
Also it will be understood, of course, by those skilled in the art that variations in the hereinabove described device involving the substitution of substantial equivalents for the devices, described are intended to be comprehended Within the spirit of the present invention and that the invention is capable of extended application and is not confined to the exact showing of the drawing nor to the precise construction described, and therefore, such changes and modifications may be made therein as do not affect the spirit of the invention nor exceed the scope thereof as expressed in the appended claims.
What is claimed is:
1. A plow disk mounting comprising, a shaft depending from a plow beam, a housing having a central bore extending therethrough, an axle supported within the bore of said housing and supporting on one end thereof a plow disk, meansfor attaching said housing to said shaft, said means including a bracket having a pair of spaced lateral apertured extensions for receiving therebetween a collar surrounding said shaft, means for permitting vertical adjustment of said collar and extensions on said shaft, and means for permitting'lateral adjustment of said housing.
2. A plow disk mounting comprising, a shaft depending from a plow beam, a housing having a central bore extending therethrough, said bore being enlarged adjacent one end for receiving a roller bearing and enlarged to a lesser degree on the other end for receiving a relatively smaller roller bearing, an axle supported within the bore of said housing and in contact with said roller bearings, one end of said axle carrying a plow disk, means on the other end of said axle for locking the same to said housing, means for attaching said housing to said shaft, said means including a. bracket having spaced lateral extensions for supporting therebetween a collar surrounding said shaft, and means on one face of said bracket for permitting lateral adjustment of said housing. s

A plow disk mounting comprising, a shaft extending from a plow beam, a housing having a central bore extending therethrough, an axle supported within the bore of said housing, means for mounting a plow disk on said shaft, means for adjustably attaching said housing to said shaft, said means including a bracket having an arcuate serrated portion engageable with a similar serrated portion on a side wall of said housing, and spaced arms extending laterally of said bracket for receiving therebetween a collar supported on said shaft, whereby said bracket and housing are vertically adjustable on said shaft.
4. A plow disk mounting comprising, a shaft extending from a plow beam, a housing and means for adjustably mounting the same on said shaft, an axle supported within said housing and having a plow disk mounted on one end thereof, and means forming a part of said housing cooperating with said housing mounting means for permitting lateral adjustment of said housing and said plow disk extending therefrom.
5. A plow disk mounting comprising, a shaft extending from a plow beam, a housing having a central bore extending therethrough, an axle supported within the bore of said housing and projecting beyond each end thereof for mounting a plow disk on one end of said axle, means for adjustably attaching said housing to said shaft, said means including a bracket having an arcuate serrated portion on one face thereof and spaced arms extending laterally from the opposed face thereof, a collar mounted on said shaft and supported between said spaced arms, said collar being movable on said shaft when adjusting the position of said housing, and means on a side wall of said housing cooperating with the serrated portion of said bracket for permitting lateral adjustment of said housing.
