z COMBINATION RECEPTACLE v l Jamesr J. Sokos; RichwoodpW. Vat, assigner of, 'one-half to Thomas G. Sokos, ,RichwoocL W. Va. K y H Application March 11, 1939, Serial No. 261,334 i 1 Claim. (ci. 312478) rlhis invention :relates to improvements 'in by the two 'partition walls 5 which between them kitchen and table articles and" pertains particuform the narrow centralchar'nber which is verlarly to an iniprovedcombination container for tically disposed, and the `two side `chambers ,'l table use, I which are provided for condiments.
to provide a combination condiment and toothpick top end of the central chamber 6 with the opening container which comprises a pair of condiment re- 8 and secured within this opening and extending ceptacles having means associated therewith downwardly into the chamber 6, is a sleeve 9 of whereby the contents of either may be readily tubular form, the upper. end (1f-,Which projects 10 obtained, associated with a novel `type of toothabove the wall 2. This sleeve 9 iS pI'OVided Wil?h 10 pick container which is designed to normally the longitudinally extending diametrical slots l0 maintain the picks in covered or protected condiwhich open through the inner orlower end of the tion but which is readily operable to display all Sleeve and extend t0 a point Substantially abOVe of the toothpicks so that the seme may be resaid lower end. Referring new more particularly to the draw The edge wall 2 is provided at 'each side of the ing, the numeral l generally designates the body toothpck dispenser with ai condimenll discharge portion of the combination receptacle' embodying Opening la and Slcured'llo the Wall 2 and en' the present invention, which body is here Shown circling each opening IG 1s a discharge collar I1 as being in theform of a disk having the anupon the Oulel' end 0f Whlch l5 all ape-Timed dis' 50 nular edge wall 2 and the flat side walls 3. This penser or sfter Cap mbody may be supported upon any suitable base Secured t0 the limer Side of the Wall v2 at each such as the one here illustrated and. indicated Side 0f the iiOi'flll-iick dispenser and ai? a DOII generally by the numeral ll. In carrying out the 01056151 adjaQeD-b the Same, isa shield Plate I9 present invention, the body l is interiorly divided which extends the full interior width of the cham- 55 zles, it will be readily apparent that when the shaker device is turned into the proper position where the ccndiment may ow through the throat 2G and into the area 2| to be shaken from the adjacent apertured cap I8, the opposite guard plate i9 will prevent the condiment in that chamber from reaching the adjacent discharge nozzle From the foregoing, it will be readily apparent that there has been provided in the device herein described, a novel combination toothpick dispenser and condiment shaker in which the contents of either condiment chamber may be readily shaken out without danger of accidentally getting any of the contents from the other chamber and in which novel means has been provided for vstoring toothpicks in such a manner that they will remain clean and sanitary at all times.
What is claimed is:
In a dispenser device of the character described, a supporting body including a base, a vertically arranged sleeve carried by the base and having an open upper end and longitudinal slots formed therein from the lower end to a point substantially above said lower end, an elongated substantiallytubular receptacle disposed within the sleeve for sliding movement longitudinally therein, the receptacle being open at its upper end, means carried by the bottom of the receptacle forming lateral elements slidably disposed in said longitudinal slots to aord limited upward movement of said receptacle, a removable cover cap for the upper end of the sleeve formed to fit over the sleeve, and a chain attached at one end to the inner side of the central part of the cap and connected at its opposite end to the inner side of the central part of the bottom of the receptacle, said chain facilitating lifting the receptacle and disposing the cap at one side of the sleeve for the maintenance of the receptacle in raised position.
