This invention relates'to baby swings and has for the primary object the provision of ancificient and inexpensive deviceof the above stated character which may be easily kept in motion or swinging by a persons foot, allowing the person to read, sew or carry on other types of duties or work.
With these and other objects in view, this" invention consists in certainnovel features of combination and arrangement of construction, parts to be hereinafter more claimed.
For a completev understanding of my invention, reference is to be had to the following description and accomp-anyingdrawing, in which fully described and Figure l is a side elevation illustrating a swing constructed in accordance with my invention.

Referring in detail to the drawing, the numeral l indicates a supporting structure including a base 2 and uprights fisecured thereto. The uprights have journaled thereon a cross rod t to which are secured depending bars 5 carrying a baby chair or similardevice 6. Secured to the rod 5 paralleling one of the bars 5. is alever 1 provided with a pin 8' operating in slot 9 of an arcuately curved lever l0. A baby swing comprising the combination of a supporting structure, a rod journaled on said structure, spaced bars fixed to said rod, a swing secured to the said spaced bars, a bracket carried by the said supporting structure and extending inwardly therefrom, an arcuately curved lever pivotally mounted on the said spindle and having an elongated slot, levers carried by said rod and in appressed relation with the outer sides of the spaced bars, a pin carried by one. of the said last mentioned levers and received in the elongated slot of the said arcuated lever, a foot pedal pivotally mounted on the said supporting structure, and a connecting member joining the end of the arcuately curved lever and the said foot pedal.
