2 Claims.
The figure is a plan view of an invisible hatpin. This hatpin has two prongs; the longer approximately two and. one-half inches in length,
is perfectly straight and has a very sharp point 5 at one end to be inserted through the inner band of a hat; the shorter prong, an extension of the longer by means of a sharp curve at the opposite end from the point, runs parallel to the longer prong and has four short quirks midway of its 10 length. The short prong is approximately onehalf inch shorter than the other prong to make it possible to catch the longer prong in the fabric of p the hat, if desired; the quirks in the short prong are to hold the hat more securely as this short 15 prong slides through the hair. I claim:
l. A hatpin having a pair oi substantially parallel legs and a substantially U-shaped in- 5 tegral connecting portion at one end thereof, one of said legs being pointed whereby to beinsertible in a hat or hat band and the other of said legs having a corrugated portion to be received in the hair, the said pointed leg being of a greater 10 length than the other leg.
