In a shipping and display container, a base, a back extending from one edge thereof, a cover extending from the back edge opposite said first edge, tab means on said base adapted to releasably engage a merchandise box, said container having an open front and substantially open sides, tab means extending from each side of said base and having interlocking slits for connection to each other at therear of said back, whereby said back is supported against rearward movement, and rearwardly positioned side portions connecting said base and said tab means.
3. A blank for a shipping and display container, comprising a sheet cut to provide a base, a back strip contiguous thereto, a cover contiguous with said back strip, a plurality of tabs struck from said base and foldable upwardly therefrom, said container having an open front and substantially open sides, and side tabs integral with said base and extending rearwardly along said back strip and cover, said side tabs having interlocking slits, and rearwardly positioned side portions connecting said base and said tab means. 7
