It will be understood that the downward pressure of the feed plate on the approximate center of the space band 64 will prevent the latter from being thrown out of the machine until it is gripped by the plunger 54. As one space-band 64 is moved across the turn-table,the lnext in the stack is pushed out in position to be engaged by the plunger, by means of the lugs 62. To properly restack the space-bands after the operation .of polishing the container or receptacle .49-.is.pro vided, having an arcuate inner bottom surface 69 and a substantially ver-tical inner end rib 1U to engage between the-feetwof-the space-bands as they are forced into the container.
