Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • The present application claims priority to, and the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/430,863, which was filed on Dec. 7, 2022, and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
  • FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates generally to the field of pet supplies. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pet waste bag and wipe-carrying device. The device is used to hold wipes and waste bags for an animal. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.
  • BACKGROUND
  • When walking a pet, often the pet will use the bathroom while the pet owners are left carrying multiple waste bags for waste clean up. These instances can lead to an unsanitary mess for those pets with long hair or fur. As a result, a pet owner may want to wipe the pet's buttocks to prevent sanitation issues and staining of the pet's fur. While doing so, it becomes difficult for pet owners to maintain control of their pet on a leash while also separately carrying cleaning materials. With a carrying case that contains enough space for all pet walking materials, pet owners can be prepared for all messes and pets can remain safer in their walking environment.
  • Moreover, the consequences of unsanitary conditions for pets cannot continue without creating long last health problems for the pet. More alarmingly, insects and bacteria can create long-lasting infections and irritating skin conditions for the pet. This can lead to additional veterinarian expenses for the pet owner and uncomfortable conditions for the pet. By providing a tool that holds all necessary cleaning supplies for pets on their walks, a user can properly clean the pet to protect them from these conditions.
  • However, existing plastic bag holders known in the art do not provide additional means of cleaning pets properly beyond using plastic bags. This is undesirable, as in some messy instances, cleaning the pet's fur is desired. In addition, moist pet wipes may be used to soothe and hydrate dry skin on the pet.
  • Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a device that holds all necessary materials while walking a pet. More specifically, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a pet waste bag and wipe-carrying device that contains a compartment for wet wipes to clean feces off the pet. Furthermore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a pet waste bag and wipe-carrying device that can sanitize pets while on a walk that ends up in an unsanitary condition.
  • The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a pet waste bag and wipe-carrying device. The device is comprised of a body, preferably made from a water-resistant and durable material, a first pocket, a second pocket, waste bags, wet wipes, and an attachment fastener. The body may also have a handle, fastener, and grip area preferably made from a rubber or textured material for the user to maintain a firm grip on the device while in use. Once the device is attached to the leash, the handle can be used in place of the leash to maintain a firm grip on the pet. The attachment fastener is a clip-like device that allows the user to attach the device to a belt loop or pet leash while on a walk.
  • In this manner, the pet waste bag and wipe-carrying device of the present invention accomplishes all the forgoing objectives and provides a device that stores materials for proper sanitation while walking a pet. More specifically, the pet waste bag and wipe-carrying device can allow pet owners to pick up their pet's waste and apply a wet wipe to the pet's buttocks to prevent stained fur, repel insects, fight bacteria, and moisturize skin around the buttocks area with a pleasant scent.
  • SUMMARY
