Abstract

The engineering helmet includes a shell having a plurality of fixing components, a head band installed inside the shell, a plurality of suspension straps connected to the head band and two ends of the suspension straps each having a clip and an adjusting component respectively snapped with the fixing component and the head band of the shell, and a chin strap, characterized in that a buffer installed inside each end of a plurality of suspension straps, meanwhile the buffer being secured to the clip and the adjusting component to enhance the absorbing of impact force from the shell, thereby improving the protection and safety of the engineering helmet.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention is generally directed to an engineering helmet and more particularly, to a structure, capable for effectively enhancing the absorbing of impact force from a shell and thereby improving the safety protection of the engineering helmet.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART
  • In prior art engineering helmets, as shown in FIGS. 1-3 , primarily comprises a shell 1 having a plurality of fixing components 11, i.e. rivets with general quantity of 4 or 6, evenly distributed inside the shell, a head band 3 configured inside the shell 1 in a ring shape, a plurality of suspension straps 4, capable of interlaced fitting with a circular band or a cushioning 2, wherein two ends of the suspension straps 4 connecting with the head band 3 respectively via a clip 41 and an adjusting component 42 to position the head band 3, and a chin strap (not shown in the figure).
  • The upper end of the foregoing clip 41 is secured to the upper end of the adjusting component 42 via a rivet 43, the adjusting component 42 is capable of moving flexibly so that the clip 41 is aligned to the fixing components 11 of the shell and then snap. The suspension straps 4 respectively pass through the openings of the clip 41 and the adjusting component 42 from bottom to up, fold backward and fixed via sewing. Therefore, the clip 41 is enabled to connect with the adjusting components 42 and meanwhile covers and hides the rivets 43 inside and is more closed to the shell 1.
  • According to the above description, the combination structure of the suspension straps 4, the clips 41 and the adjusting components 42 in prior art engineering helmet enables the suspension straps 4 and head band 3 to have flexible elasticity, while the shell 1 is suffering from the front, back, left and right sides impact, the elasticity of the head band 3 and the suspension straps 4 are not sufficient to effectively absorb the impact force, thus seriously reducing the safety and protection of the engineering helmets. An improvement is expected.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an engineering helmet capable of effectively enhancing the absorbing of the impact force from the shell, thereby improving the safety and protection of the engineering helmet.
  • To achieve the above-mentioned objective, the engineering helmet comprises a shell having a plurality of fixing components, a head band installed inside the shell, a plurality of suspension straps connected to the head band and two ends of the suspension straps each having a clip and an adjusting component respectively snapped with the fixing component and the head band of the shell, and a chin strap, characterized in that a buffer installed inside each end of a plurality of suspension straps, meanwhile the buffer being secured to the clip and the adjusting component to enhance the absorbing of impact force from the shell, thereby improving the protection and safety of the engineering helmet.
  • According to the above-mentioned engineering helmet, the buffer is composed of the shock-absorbing materials, namely, EVA, TPE, TPA, TPC, TPO, TPS, TPU, TPV, etc.
  • According to the above-mentioned engineering helmet, preferably, the buffer is secured to the clip and the adjusting components in a manner of adhesion.
  • According to the above-mentioned engineering helmet, the inner side of the buffer has an adhesion agent, i.e. a double-sided adhesive or a strong glue.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • By way of example, the invention is further explained with respect to a preferred embodiment shown in the drawings and the features and advantages will become apparent from the following description of the invention which refers to the accompanying drawings.
  • Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5 , the present invention comprises a shell 1, a head band 3, a plurality of suspension straps 4 and a chin strap (not show), wherein the inner side of the shell 1 has a plurality of fixing components 11, a plurality of suspension straps 4 are evenly distributed inside the shell 1 and connected to the head band 3, two ends of the suspension straps 4 respectively have a clip 41 and an adjusting component 42. However, the said structures are prior art and no further description is made herewith.
  • The primary feature of the present invention is that a buffer 5 is configured inside each end of a plurality of suspension straps 4, the buffer 5 is composed of a shock-absorbing material, i.e. EVA, TPE, TPA, TPC, TPO, TPS, TPU, TPV, etc.
  • The buffer 5 is secured simultaneously to the clip 41 and the adjusting component 42, preferably in a manner of adhesion, for example, the inner side of the buffer 5 has a double-sided adhesive 51 or the inner side of the buffer 5 has a strong glue, to ensure that the buffer 5 will not fall off.
  • More specifically, the buffer 5 comprises the following features 1. composed of the shock-absorbing materials, having a better shock-absorbing capability; 2. configured inside the two ends of a plurality of suspension straps 4 and secured to the clip 41 and the adjusting component 42, and 3. evenly distributed inside the shell 1 and more closed to the shell 1. Therefore, when the shell 1 is suffering from an external impact from the front, back, left or right sides, the shell 1 will effectively enhance the absorbing of impact force via an inherent elasticity of the head band 3 and the suspension strap 4 and the absorbing capability of the said buffer 5 as well, to effectively reduce the impact force of the shell 1 and further improve the safety and protection of the engineering helmet, which is apparently more progressive than the prior art.
  • The specific structure disclosed in the embodiment of the present invention is not disclosed in the prior art and capable of achieving the desired purpose and efficacy. Thus, the present application is filed accordingly.

Claims (6)

What is claimed is:
1. An engineering helmet, comprising:
a shell including a plurality of fixing components inside;
a head band configured inside the shell;
a plurality of suspension straps coupled to the head band, the two ends respectively having a clip and an adjusting component, respectively being snapped to the fixing component and the head band of the shell;
a chin strap; and
a butter configured on the inner of each end of the plurality of suspension straps, the buffer simultaneously secured to the clip and the adjusting component to absorb an impact force from the shell, thus improving the safety protection of the engineering helmet.
2. The engineering helmets of claim 1, wherein the buffer is composed of a shock-absorbing material.
3. The engineering helmets of claim 2, wherein the shock-absorbing material is EV A, TPE, TPA, TPC, TPO, TPS, TPU, TPV, etc.
4. The engineering helmets of claim 1, wherein the buffer is secured to the clip and the adjusting component preferably in a manner of adhesion.
5. The engineering helmets of claim 4, wherein an inner side of the buffer has a double-sided adhesive.
6. The engineering helmets of claim 4, wherein the inner side of the buffer has a strong glue.
