Description

    FIELD OF INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a hair root volumizing styler, and more particularly, to a scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler that not only prevents burns of the scalp but also enables rapid volumizing at the root of hair.
  • BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • In general, a curling iron is a beauty tool in the form of tongs used when directing hair in a wavy straight shape.
  • For such a curling iron, when a suitable amount of hair is held between hot plates and the curling iron is pulled while rotating, waves are created. Alternatively, if pulling the curling iron straightly, straight hair can be created.
  • However, in the case of the conventional curling iron, when pulling the iron while holding the hair, the hair held between the two hot plates gets tangled and thus it is not easy to tidy up. Further, the hair often gets disheveled while pulling the iron to hence cause a difficulty in producing a desired hairstyle.
  • On the other hand, an electric curling iron is used to produce a person's hair style using an electric heating element. The electric curling iron may conduct a straight perm to shape curly hair and/or produce artificially curling the permed hair into straight hair, otherwise, conduct a curling perm to make straight hair into curly hair.
  • Such a conventional curling iron is formed in a tongs structure in which upper body and lower body extending in the longitudinal direction are rotatably coupled to each other, and the upper body and the lower body are in contact with each other.
  • At this time, the upper body and the lower body are provided with hot plate members. The hot plate member is a flat member that is in direct contact with the hair, is heated by a heating element formed therein, and creates desired hair style by inserting the hair between the both heated hot plate members.
  • However, in such conventional electric curling iron, since a pair of upper and lower bodies are formed in a straight bar type and the hot plate member is configured in the form of a flat plate, a user required skilled hand techniques such as turning or bending the wrist while holding the electric curling iron in order to produce desired hair styles.
  • Accordingly, it is required for development of an electric curling iron structure with a construction in which a styling can be easily conducted even by an inexperienced user in beauty.
  • In fact, there is currently a growing need of customers for a hair shape that gives volume to the root of hair even in the case of hair loss, however, due to the risk of burns on the head, in particular, the scalp, and the part where a work space is not visually secured, the root volumizing products are is now in a blue ocean state.

  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 2 is a side cross-sectional view of the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 3 is a front view of the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to an embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 4 illustrates a block diagram of components in the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to an embodiment of the present invention.
  • As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 , the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a main body 100, a heating member 200, a volumizing member 300 and a heat-blocking member 400.
  • The styler body 100 of the present invention may have a handle 50 provided on a part thereof to give a grippy feeling.
  • At this time, the styler body 100 may be formed to have a predetermined curvature in a direction perpendicular to the handle 50 to be in close contact with the scalp. That is, the styler body 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention may also be in close contact with the scalp by forming a radius of curvature of an angle set in a direction perpendicular to the handle 50.
  • The heating member 200 of the present invention may be provided on a portion of the styler body 100 to supply a heat source. Specifically, the heating member 200 may be formed on the outer peripheral surface of the volumizing member 300 to supply a heat source necessary for root volumizing work.
  • The volumizing member 300 of the present invention is manufactured in a rod shape, which is arranged in plural to be spaced apart from one another on the opposite side of the handle 50 in the styler body 100 and is provided with the heating member 200 to supply a heat source, thus giving volume to the hair during root volumizing work. Specifically, the volumizing member 300 is attached in such a state that about four (4) members are spaced apart at a predetermined interval to thus enable volumizing in four stages by a single work.
  • At this time, the volumizing member 300 may be manufactured in a predetermined size, and may be detachably coupled to the styler body 100. More particularly, the present invention may further include a connector (not shown) for detachably coupling the volumizing member 300 to the styler body 100. The connector may include a coupling protrusion and a coupling hole.
  • Herein, at least one coupling protrusion may be mounted on a portion of the volumizing member 300 and provided with elastic force so as to enable interpolation of the protrusion into the volumizing member 300 by external pressure. The coupling hole may be formed at a corresponding position of the styler body 100 in response to the coupling protrusion, whereby the coupling protrusion is coupled into the coupling hole to thus secure the volumizing member 300 while coupling the same into the slyer body 100, simultaneously.
  • Further, the volumizing member 300 may be manufactured in different sizes, therefore, it is possible to increase or decrease the volume of hair by altering the size of the volumizing member 300 according to a user's tendency or directing environment.
  • Further, the volumizing member may limit a rotation angle to a predetermined set angle.
  • Specifically, the volumizing member 300 may be designed such that the rotation angle is defined to an angle of approximately 270°, and the heat-blocking member 400 as a safety plate may be attached to a portion of the lower part of the volumizing member in order to avoid the heating member 200 installed in the volumizing member 300 from directly coming into contact with the scalp, thereby preventing burns of the scalp.
  • The above-described embodiment is a case in which the heating member 200 formed on an outer circumference of the volumizing member 300 encompasses only a portion of the circumference rather than the entire circumference (360°) of the volumizing member 300. That is, since the heating member 200 surrounds a portion of the outer circumference of the volumizing member 300, it is required to adjust the rotation angle such that the heating member 200 of the volumizing member 300 faces a volumizing work direction during root volumizing work. In this case, the rotation angle adjustment may include setting an appropriate angle for the work by moving a separate lever for adjusting the rotation angle (“an angle adjustment lever”) in the left or right direction.
  • Further, the volumizing member 300 may be manufactured to be movable in position in response to the user's head shape.
  • Specifically, using the handle 50 provided in the styler body 100 to move the volumizing member 300 by one touch, the left, right and back hair may be freely worked according to the head shape, and self-work is also possibly conducted.
  • Particularly, a user can adjust a spacing between the volumizing members 300 by spreading the styler body 100 to the left and right by a set length. More particularly, the styler body 100 may be manufactured such that each set spacing between the volumizing members 300 is widened or constricted, whereby it is possible to adjust the spacing between the volumizing members 300. That is, when the styler body 100 is manufactured in a multi-stage folding structure and the handle 50 is operated in a manner of turning or pulling the handle, it is possible to adjust a width to the left and right.
  • Therefore, the working time may be shortened and the volume of the lower end serves as a support for the upper end, so that the volume does not look clumsy and the durability may also be increased.
  • Further, the volumizing member 300 may be formed to have a predetermined curvature in a downward direction so as to be in close contact with the scalp. That is, the volumizing member 300 may be formed with a radius of curvature set in the downward direction so as to be in close contact with the scalp of a user.
  • Further, the volumizing member 300 may have a rounded or tapered front portion. Specifically, the volumizing member 300 has a rounded or tapered front portion so that the volumizing member 300 is easily inserted into the hair and hair sections for giving volume can be desirably divided.
  • Further, a pattern in a set shape is formed on the surface of the volumizing member 300 so that the hair can be held by applying a frictional force thereto. Specifically, a pattern may be formed on the surface of the volumizing member 300 in order to hold the hair without being messy, wherein the pattern of the volumizing member 300 may be a horizontal stripe pattern formed to match the hair work direction, otherwise, comb-shaped protrusions may be arranged at regular intervals instead of the horizontal stripe pattern.
  • The heat-blocking member 400 of the present invention surrounds a portion of the lower part of the volumizing member 300, more specifically, may block heat generated from the volumizing member 300 while encompassing a portion of the lower part of the heating member 200 in the volumizing member 300, thereby protecting the scalp during root volumizing work.
  • Particularly, the heat-blocking member 400 serves to block the transmitted external heat, and is made of an insulating material, wherein the insulating material is preferably selected from the group consisting of polyamide, high-strength PVC, glass fiber reinforced plastic, glass, cement, gypsum, silicon nitride, silicon carbide, silica, zirconia, pearlite, siliceous material, allitic, magnesia, dolomite, carbonaceous material, and mixtures thereof, which have low heat conductivity and excellent durability.
  • According to an embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to work at once in the form of attaching four (4) small iron-on-type volumizing members 300, and it is also possible to help the completion of a hairstyle in a short time exclusively for the root volume.
  • Therefore, using the root volumizing styler 10 of the present invention, even a beginner can work to produce a high-quality volume easily and quickly. Meanwhile, although a working time is shorter compared to a hair-drying work, it still takes a considerable time. However, if attaching the above four (4) volumizing members 300 at a scalp angle of 100°, four-stage volumizing may be quickly done in a single work.
  • Further, since the root volumizing styler 10 of the present invention may often cause scalp burns, the volumizing member 300 is preferably designed to limitedly move within an angle of 270° and, as a safety plate, the heat-blocking member 400 is attached so that the heating member 200 provided in the volumizing member 300 does not touch the scalp, thereby preventing scalp burns.
  • Further, the styler body 100 can be moved by one touch using the handle 50 so that the left, right, and back volume works are freely done, the working is simple, and the self-work is also possible.
  • Meanwhile, FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to another embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 6 is a side cross-sectional view of the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to another embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 7 is a front view of the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to another embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 8 illustrates a block diagram of components when the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to another embodiment of the present invention further includes an air supply member.
  • As shown in FIGS. 5 to 8 , the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to another embodiment of the present invention may further include an air supply member 500.
  • The air supply member 500 may be mounted on a portion of the styler body 100 to supply air through the volumizing member 300.
  • At this time, the air supply member 500 may include a blowing fan 510 and an air duct 520.
  • The blowing fan 510 may be mounted on the handle part 50 of the styler body 100 to supply air.
  • Further, the blowing fan 510 is connected to an on/off operation switch 20 separately provided on the handle 50 so as to manually control the operation.
  • The air duct 520 is provided inside the volumizing member 300 and includes an air hole 30 formed at the distal end thereof, thereby inducing the flow of air generated by the blowing fan 510.
  • Further, the scalp-contact type hair root volumizing styler according to another embodiment of the present invention may further include a skin detection sensor 530 and a controller 600.
  • The skin detection sensor 530 may be provided on a portion of the heat-blocking member 400 to detect skin in contact with the heat-blocking member 400.
  • The controller 600 is provided on a portion of the styler body 100 and is connected to the heating member 200, the air supply member 500 and the skin detection sensor 530 so as to control the operation of the heating member 200, the air supply member 500 and the skin detection sensor 530, respectively.
  • Specifically, when a ratio of the skin detected by the skin detection sensor 530 reaches a predetermined ratio set in the heat-blocking member 400, that is, when the volumized hair gets out of the volumizing member 300 and about ⅓ of the skin is exposed, the air supply member 500 is operated to spray cold air so that the volume-up hair can be set immediately. Alternatively, the air supply member may be artificially operated by operating a manual switch.
  • Further, the controller 600 is provided with a wireless communication module, and may be in conjunction with an external mobile terminal through any one of a Wi-Fi communication module, a Bluetooth communication module and a Zigbee communication module, so as to control the operation from the outside or to check the control situation in real time.
  • According to another embodiment of the present invention, the blowing fan 51 may be provided inside the handle 50 and cold air is discharged through the air duct 520, to thus enable quickly setting after volumizing the hair.
  • As described above, the detailed description of the preferred embodiments of the present invention disclosed has been provided to enable those skilled in the art to implement and practice the present invention. Although the above description has been provided with reference to preferred embodiments of the present invention, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various modifications and changes can be made to the present invention without departing from the scope of the present invention.
